The bit in 'Signs' where you see the video footage of the alien outside the children's party is utterly spine tingling.

Such a good film.

Man Bites Dog where he strangles the woman on the train right at the beginning. The whole film is fuckin like that tho.

As previously suggested by nath, the signs bit gets me :/

Also in FOTR the bit when Bilbo goes for the ring when he sees Frodo wearing it shits me up.

His face :-|

Indeed. I also suggest the bit where Mel traps an alien in Shyamalans larder.

Top of my head...

Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid. The end.

Recently saw Dragonfly (Costner) and that was o.k. I won't spoil it but it was an interesting ending.

Field Of Dreams - his dad.

Dead Poets Society - standing on chairs.

Usual Suspects - Keiser revealed.

Blair Witch - clacking stones :/

Scary but not quite so scary as the children laughing outside the tent. God, that film shit me up something rotten.:(

My daughter's 11 and I'm tempted to let her and her friend watch it on her next sleepover. I was thinking of clacking some pebbles together in the garden in the night after they go to bed. Bit sweary tho'.

I've always wanted to have someone stay over after watching The Ring and somehow trigger a way of having the telly turn on to play static half way through the night... (Original Ring, not american Ring)

The scene in The Eye in the lift made me shiver.

The bit in American History X with the teeth on the kerb. Holy mother of all things dental, that is nasty.

Any scenes where people drown but they have to fight against it for a long time - The Perfect Storm, Twin Town, The Abyss.

I'm sure there's loads more but I'm a bit brain dead right now...

Good call that man!

Other bits for me personally are:

Sixth Sense - Bruce coming to the realisation that he's dead, and how the whole story/peoples reactions (e.g. his wife pulling the check away at dinner) all fits into place. I actually just shivvered as I was typing this. :(

Bladerunner - "All these moments will be lost... in time... like.... tears, in rain.... Time.. to die". Made all the more harrowing by Vangelis' excellence. There were actually several spine-tingling scenes in Bladerunner - the house chase just prior to "Tears in rain" being a classic example.

Aliens - Motion tracker (well said whoever suggested that originally - I can't be arsed to check :D)

... and on a lighter note...

The Office - I actually can't watch parts of it without cringing.

heh I've not seen it, but from the clips I've seen Bruised Willie being dead was pretty obvious I thought. You've not commited a "Durzel", Durzel :)

pfft...

Princess L in Jabba's Hoose with the costume was better. My hand shivered like mad at that bit. :)

I watched the Sixth Sense drunk, and all along I assumed we were meant to believe he was dead. The twist for me me was "Oh, we didn't know he was dead?" which kind of left the film slightly flat :(
