I didn't go in the end - but believe me, it was touch and go whether or not I would attend right up to about 5pm on Friday afternoon and bearing in mind I only work a couple of tube stations away from the pub it could have gone either way.


Had I'd gone I would have dragged dysfunction along - but alas, I feared for the poor man's life.

Getting back to the hotel was the easy part, trying to open the room door presented a few problems (bloody card style keys )
