electrics arent too good imho.
Wet shaving is the better option. Have you tried the new Mach3 shavers. Absolutely excellent.

are Philishave any good?.
I notice that they have 3 round Heads, while the braun have one long strip. (only asking because I need one for when I go on holiday)
are you saying you shave before you go to bed?Originally posted by wolfeeh
i do all the right stuff shaving wise..
-wash with super-hot water to open the pores
-exfoliate, again hot water, keeping pores open
-lube up with king of shaves shaving oil & gel (or nivea gel)
-shave following the grain, gently & slowly, with a couple of short strokes per patch before thoroughly rinsing the razor.
(new razor blade every other shave...)
-pluck remaining ingrown hairs with super-sharp tweezerman needle tweezers which don't even cut the skin...
-wash face once again with hot water, removing all dirt & hairs...
-wash face with ice cold water to close the pores
-apply moisterising aftershave balm (alcohol free)
-wash face again before bed & apply moisterising lotion...
i use wilkinson sword - diamond FX blades, which for someone with sensitive skin are better than mach 3 blades - less metal the better
nivea or king of shaves oils, gels, face washes, moisterisers, etc...
and still find it impossible to shave until a couple of days after the last shave...
don't get me wrong... it's a million times better than what it used to be like for me (shave once a month lol) but still...
i've tried all sorts of electric shavers... foil types... rotary heads... cheap ones... expensive ones... (£180 tops, though i had that free with mum's commission off catalogue)
electric shavers are poo in comparison to blades... you can even cut yourself with them... electric shaver gave me the nastiest cut ever when i was shaving my balls actually - always shave your balls with a proper razor... the skin is so elastic it's almost impossible to cut yourself.
anyway i'm sure i had a point... i might have made it already, can't remember.. that is all.
they do take getting used to, I think 3 weeks.Originally posted by adams901
