I made a /20 shaman the other day just for a laugh. me and a few friends running about but i did really well and had alot of fun with the char. they are a strange char and i would like a high lvl one.

looking at specs the mixed cookie spec seems to be better than all out cave etc.

one thing tho. if im aug early on i will die all day but if im cave i can kill ppl easier. now the prob i got is when jumped by tanks i got no clue what to do.

i try and sprint, root, disease bolt dot then run some more. thing is certain classes use all there end and i cant lose em.

if im going a mixed spec then i need end to run but also insta aoe disease to slow em. lvl 27 is along way from lvl 21 and if i go full cave till then i may have trouble getting groups.

anyways you see the dilemma i have what are your thoughts please?

Get ICHOR asap, (insta root ra), for xp grps (to lvl) spec the buffline, for pvp spec the battle line. In ur final spec, i'd go till end4 buff orsmt, rest in 'battle'

Have no clue what the 'battle shaman' line is called

yeah i will be mix specced but was thinking due to pvp to lvl cave first. ichor of the deep is 10 points or so yeah?

With tanks, they easy wen ur 29 cave cos u have insta pbae disease, which lets u get away real easy.

shaman is no healer no matter how high mend you spec...better to go higher aug and cave and actually do some use of those 2 lines.

Talk to Rarely or any of the other shammies in guild in game Bahu I think tis 39/37 or something close to that that is most common.

1 thing tho green diease v purple disease.....whats the diff. ok purp prob gets resisted less and lasts longer but are the effects enhanced?

no diffs other then resist rate... I have mend just cause its nice when plvling friggs costs like no mana compared to heals and that sorta things!

No difference apart from the resist rate, but in NF just get a couple of lvls in Mastery of Focus to counter that, plus then it means you can get some reasonable heals. Group HoT is pretty nice tbh, during fights imo, shammies shud be pure disrupt/heals. You will never use AE DoT in a grpvsgrp fight unless they are pretty much dead already.

During fights you will be expected to single dot, single root, ae root for disrupt, pbae disease and heal. Having a grp HoT means u can cast that then get bak to disrupting for a lil while the HoT pumps ur grp of HP.

From listening to the moaning about Shammy dmg from Voodoo's resident 50 Shammy, you are not gonna do a lot of dmg with Cave spec at higher lvls though it's great at low lvls. Red con caster - bolt - dd - dot it's dead.

I'd go mostly cave until around lvl 30 with some Aug, and then spec more into Aug for grps.

humm m8 go full cave till insta fart desease then full aug till yellow end then rest cave ;D u get 2 yellow dd and bolt and yellow aoe desease and aoe root aswell as longwind = yellow end is perma sprint

well u only get 1 dd, and 1 dot not 2 (unless i read what u said wrong mr dotted).

imo go along the lines of first end gen, rest cave till 25, then get things like second str/con dex/qui, then more cave, then second end gen, then more cave till 36, then dump the rest in aug etc. id make a proper "how to spec template" but i cant b bothered

he meant 2nd as in the same way you meant it for 2nd end regen

go full cave till 27

then place all your points into aug so you get third end at lvl 22

then go back to cave untill you reach 39

then rest in aug 37 for yellow dex/qui

and NO mend

get 12 aug first so you have a decent endregen..

who needs the best dots when you can kite the tank easily..

then after 12 aug you ofc go for the fart and better dd/bolt/dot etc

some buffs help with kiting aswell as u will survive a bit longer

not sure of the shamans name hehe but i played one on gore and liked the spec dotted said. extra cave not worth it.

insta fart is pretty uber but i pressed it for a laugh and hit 2 stealthers who kepy garotting me. i started crying but they kept on

ichor lvl 3 on a keep raid was pretty cool got shit loads of rp's.

my pvp one is fun but i will got 7 mend for cure dis and dot

Im glad as my spec is imo the best...

no need for poison cure or desease cure coz of ml abilitys.

fear will get u to ml5 i think

For lvl50 spec i whould take 44aug and 31cave, rest spare points in mend, thats the spec i am running atm and works perfect in group oriented rvr.
