Well, probably the server is UP, but the network to it is DOWN.

Sort of one of those if a tree falls in the forest and no one hears, does it make a sound questions.

If the Server is UP, and no one can access it, is it DOWN ?

Yesterday i just thought it some nasty solution by goa to avoid database inconsistence because of the clock skew but, what kind of router can cause split only on 5 servers from the whole network.
