It's not that gay when you try to go to an exp group in the frontier and you get owned every single damn time by the mincers camping DL on a daily basis. Thanks to See Hidden I could evade them
Why should you be able to evade minstrels but not infiltrators? Why do minstrels who aren't as good 1vs1 as infil's and don't have the ability to kill from a huge range be affected by see hidden? Why do minstrels not get camouflage? (i know its not that great but i hate dieing to see hidden when i haven't even killed/attacked anyone).

I still laugh when a assasin runs at me from clip range with a fg behind him and think, yer this is fair. Other times I stealth in front of a huge zerg and nobody finds me and think its not so bad. Its the random factor that is annoying though, imo assasins should just have a cheaper true sight, see how they like to buy a realm ability that nerfs themselves instead of others :)

Some people tend to oversee some other advantages see-hidden has..

Yes you can spot enemies with it, but ALSO your own realm's stealthers..

Often i follow a scout around just to help him when an SB tries to kill him.

And it's very useful to know where the scouts and minstrels in your group are, when camping a wall.

Communication > spending 8 points on See Hidden.

Not if you're level 43 and only have evade 5. And of course, it can be respecced down later.

You don't have camoflague but if you see a fg chasing at you from clip range you can unstealth and speed off ;)

Good point. I was assuming a level 50th template.

Camo is not t hat useful. Except if u kill someone. Run off in to the wilderness. Go afk behind a tree. w8 10 min and return. Compare that to having "camo" all the time (assasins).

Minstrels have a lot of advantages too. So I think it evens out. Getting a group for a minnie can't be hard :eek:. And v useful in grps as u can stealth and sneak around to get a mezz on a healer/or other important char. When FG vs FG.

1) no...I had it, but respecced away from it.
2) yes...I will get i later, but I'm aming for other RA's first. I'm not going to play daoc to 3-4 mill RP so I'll guess I'll never get it, but it is on my RA template.

Ask Mythic, I was just giving an example on how See Hidden was usefull for me.

No, it's not fair. It's overpowered/stupid/insulting/whatever. But it's by no means the most overpowered/unfair one out there.

aye its bullsh1te.... the range on detect hidden was fine and fair... how on earth they couldnt see the damage this would do to the game is beyond me. and their camo counter is just bullshit too... they knew they fecked up by giving a see hidden counter they should just admit it and scrap it.... (but they wont :) )

quite honestly you must have a head made out of shit if you thugt that wouldnt get nerfed to hell

and minstrels are a support class wth do they need stealth for anyway, not that its any harm in em having it but why whine when they olny get to use it like 1 time a week when they solo, and TBH speed gives them the same chose as stealth "do I want to fight that person?"

thing is so many archers/minstrels suffer from the See Hidden paranoia that they've respec'd stealth down to stupid lvls like under 30. helloooooo! an assasin doesn't NEED See Hidden if u have shite stealth, he gets a free built in skill called Detect Hidden for that purpose at 16 trains in stealth. BG1 is a prime example of this, crap stealth u can see from like 20m away, archer with 24+ stealth u gotta be nearly ontop of him to see him. Course if they do have See Hidden your screwed, but Camo works just fine if u keep your stealth skills high.

Camo up = can use main routes/camp mgs in un-obvious spots etc
Camo down = stay off the beaten track till its up again

Ask yourself why we would want high stealth on our archers when we cant solo anyhow?

As soon as you pop that single crit (which according to statistics miss 80% of the time), you must dodge See Hidden for 10 minutes.

Solution? Hunt where there are less assassins. Problem is that assassins tend to hang out where there are potential targets.

Anyway, off topic, soz.

I'd take cheap TS over SH any day. Good for finding those SBs camping Sauvage/MGs, a lot of time I know they're close, but still finding someone who you can see only few feet away is pretty impossible if they move even a bit.

Umm, the name of archers is Hunters, Scouts and Ranger.
The aim of a Scout is to solo, and hide, and relay information back to alliance/guild. Stealth would be usefull. The way it currently works is that Scouts cannot do this, and infiltrators have to do it.
See hidden was a mistake of Mythic, they should just admit. Assasin classes should just get a higher chance of spotting an archer class, that is all.

Archer classes were never designed to just stand there and shoot arrows...
Anyway, with IP gone, some assasins will have trouble killing archers with IP I feel. Some scouts I know respecced into melee a lot, and are kicking assasin ass we speak. Ofcourse, the massive rp's they have already build up helps a lot :)

Archers didn't scout, they /pharmed, bar the rare occasion. Assassins and minstrels have always done the scouting, with assassins having the upper hand since Climb Walls.
