Yesterday i was driving in to townat about 45mph when i hit a patch of shit from a farmers wagon. The car spun and i hit 2 trees at about 60mph.

Smoke filled the car in seconds and my passenger door was locked it took about 10 seconds to kick it open. The car is wrote off without a doubt but thats easy to replace. I got out and i was alrite (thankfully) just cut all over and bad whiplash.

The amazing thing is, About 10 seconds after this happend 2 cars drove straight past me and didn't even think to stop. What would happen if someone was inside the car and there life was in danger. A man in a van stopped and cleaned my face up of the blood and got me an ambulance.

Here is a picture of the car, They didnt take one of the interior due to the blood.

Really has shook me up a bit :\ just glad to still be here.

The officer said the tree impact is worse than the one on the A1 where 5 people died.

When i hit the breaks the wheels locked and it gained speed, Its an estimate of what speed was gained according to the police etc.

All the roads nearby are 60 limit.

trees are the worst obstacles to hit. My driving instructor said always try t avoid trees as they aren't meant to move. They have huge roots and they will just crush your car. The best thing to do is hit another car in front as it absorbs impact. Id rather someone did that to me and gave me whiplash than them hitting the tree and dieing.

Dont they say if u r skidding you should tap your breaks? Its the same principle of Ice, but thinking about it, i dont think its easy to do under the circumstances of it happening so fast.

Glad your not hurt. You should not have speed up when skidding unless going down hill it would be easy to stay at 40 odd but even with no grip i would not have though you should have gained speed. Wierd.

And thats just proved the highway code correct when it tells you to drive slowly past farm entrances exits as they leave mud ect in the road and can cause accidents.

Your car is going at 45 mph, therefore you're exerting a force to move your car and maintain it at 45 mph.

You put on the brakes, taking your feet off the gas (presumably) so the force the car is exerting decreases, the wheels lock.

You hit a pile of poop, unless it's a super lubricated poop i can't see it warranting a speed increase of 15mph.

Seems strange as ever to increase when hitting poo, maybe an oil spill or ice patch, but not poo.

Dunno, possible reduction in frictional forces due to skidding + the poop would have instant change in the balance of forces compared to the breaking which reduces the acceleration over a longer time scale.

but there is still going to be friction acting on the car, not just from wheels. there is air friction and other shit related things going on.

there is other possible explanations -

1. vlads idea that the poop is similar to the speed boosts in mario kart
2. someone strapped a rocket on the car which is triggered by hitting poop
3. he entered a spontaneous parallel dimension and out came the car in the other universe travelling at 60.
4. he put his foot down and hit a pile of shit
