Any of you lot got a recommended SATA cable brand?

Does it matter? I usually buy whatever one is cheapest on ebuyer. Never had a problem.

Well having bought some from Maplin on my last PC that turned out to be complete tosh, yes it does matter to me, hence the question :p

I can't say I've ever had a problem SATA cable. The worst one was a loose connector on a hard drive, but that was the drive, not the cable. Just make sure your cables have the metal clip to latch them onto the drive.

It's not like HDMI cables where good shielding has a noticeable effect.

Not all mobos support clips properly, for example mine only has 2 out of 6 which support clips.

When I've had to buy extra cables, I've always found Akasa to be good ones. I usually just make do with whatever the motherboard comes with, though.

Akasa I use as well as i try to get the same color as my power leads and make the install as clean as possible. I used clipped ones for about 50 seconds the first time i went to remove it i had to break it off the back of the DVD drive as it got stuck so now I avoid them.
