I disagree. The S2 looks nice with it's saturated colours, but the colours are not accurate, certainly not as accuate as the iPhone 4's not to mention the pixel density of the AMOLED screens are still way behind that of the IPS screen used in the iPhone 4. Additionally, off axis viewing on the iPhone 4's screen is also better.

Still, the S2 seems to have nearly caught up with year old tech .

The only thing true in that statement is part about pixel density...

You're wrong.

I've compared them side by side. The S2 has a bright, contrasty screen but that doesn't equate to a better screen. My monitor is colour calibrated for photography and the iPhone displays my photos pretty closely. In contrast, the S2 is too saturated and the contrast is too high making them look ugly and unnatural.

Well comparing photos with my proper canon camera and the Samsung there is not a lot of difference...

Perhaps your monitor is faulty

My battery lasts a lot longer than 9 hours. It once lasted up to 36 hours (obviously with minimal use ie the odd call and browsing etc). Even with playing Angry Birds for 40+ mins my battery lasts from 7am to around 9pm

How many apps do you have running to get that crap battery life?


I've turned everything i don't absolutely need off and get about a week and a half worth of battery life out of my galaxy 5.

Granted i don't play any games on my phone, but still.

Sensation battery life varies, about a day with heavy use, 2-3 with light use.

Could lengthen that also by putting some more battery saving options up etc. no problem if you wanted.

I would also stress that as per my thread starting post, I did say that the S2 blew me away with how fantastic it was to use. It's such an awesome handset. But with regards to the display, as crisp and bright as it is, it still falls behind the iPhone 4's screen for PPI, viewing angle and colour accuracy.

I just bought my S2.

I think I'm gonna hold out for something with better screen resolution & colour rendering. The HTC Sensation has a better pixel resolution, but according to many reviews, the S2 scores better in most other departments.The iphone probably still has the best screen at the mo from what I've read, but will hold out for a dual-core Android phone later on in the year.
