I really hope the trial does take place in Iraq, its the iraqi people who have suffered under him, not the US. My only concern is that it might not be a fair trial there.

Really though, I cant see any outcome that wont lead to his death. It just rather it be a modern death sentence though, rather than the typical iraqi public hanging.

umm, have you SEEN what has happened to dictators with 500.000+ civillians on their death toll?

its up to the Iraqi's to decide what kind of punishment they will have for their courts. But if they will have the death sentence for murderers, then surely Hussein applies for it.

letting Hussein live could be seen as an insult to the million of relatives of the people he killed. Also if he is dead, Iraq might know alittle more peace. So for revenge, to prevent him/other for him from trying to get back and to deter other people to kill people (you cant sentence a murder to death and not do the same to Hussein).

I don't really care what happens to Saddam from now tbh. But what I do find annoying and pathetic is the way the yanks are going on like this is some kind of great triumph. Wow, you invaded a third world country, toppled the dictator, barely kept it under control and then found him in a ditch 8 feet under ground. Great job, boys. You truly are the greatest nation on earth. Plus the fact that the British troops will get hardly any recognition from the yanks for their efforts in the war just irritates me to the bone.

Sure the British Troops will get recognition, like every war in a few years time they'll start making war movies of it all and Hollywood will keep it all realistic to how the war actually was and depict the heros of Britain doing there part and....
