how can u say that ?!?

Music implies having an at least semi-intelligent text to start with (excluding 80% of radío music). Then it needs artistic skill (which also exludes a lot, cause yelling YO YO, fook yaself in the micro is in no way skilled imho)).

Well that ofc is my personal view, you can listen to whatever you want as long as I don't have to hear it =)

Was PvP on my Bard the other day grped with 2 lvl 47+ necros 49 pally 44 smite cleric.

We all jumped just b4 entering Goth and as my feet hit the ground i was mezzing, just as my 1st AE mez went off and got about 5 lvl 50s the hard part started of that Linkin Park song 'Don't turn your back on me, I won't be ignored'.

Was great timing music, best bit was it was uber loud and I was in the same room as everyone in my group as we play in a LAN Centre, great night that night, had a good laugh :D

Just wanna point out My Bard was lvl 29 at the time and I was 1st time AE MEzzing 50s ;)

Most rappers and hip hop artist can free style, as a result they are putting together versus that rhyme in their head as they are saying others aswell as keeping to a beat, i doubt u could do it thus making u below semi-inteligent by ur own reconning aswell as the vast majority of people.

tbh if u actually listened rather than hearing b4 u critisized (unless ur exposure to rap was a 13 yr old yelling things down a mic on his ass cus hes too pisssed to get out more the 3 words) u would know there is more to it than that.

I listen to all sorts, Beethoven's 5th symphony is pretty good when u are in a particulary large battle seems to calm me :S.. yes im wierd but its the first stage of recovery admiting it :p, have got quite accustomed to Disturbed rescently. Prefer the classics by Pac and Dre sometimes, its really all mood dependant :)

well chronic, to me hip-hop is just something wierd (although jungle is even worse) and listening to it makes me sick (it sounds all the same to me, tbh) (and I say thath openly, also to ppl who like that music), but I respect your opinion =)

But I gotta agree that classic can be very good aswell. I admit I'm not listening to that very often, but it's indeed a good option.

There is no text (in most cases) in classic music. So can't be counted as Music then according to you. :p

Game sounds & music, takes a part of the experience away if I dont hear the original sounds, almost like playing with your eyes half closed. :)

he asked for music =)

I agree 100%

Korn is not too bad imho and Manson makes good music if you don't have to look at him =)

ok, here is what my mp3 List contains

Nightwish (I go all discs, best band ever tbh)
In Flames (nice for fast action)
Children of Bodom
6 feet under (WARMACHINE!!!!)
Evanescence (it's pretty nice, fits a bit Hibbie landscape =) )
Iced Earth (Guitar MASTER Jon Schaffer)
Blind Guardian (not this alb player, the real, good, true band)
Iron Maiden (I see tha (lag-) ghosts of middies, but they're lost...)

ofc all originals, no crap d/l etc. (except 3 songs from 6 feet :( )

other good stuff I deleted cause I had no originals:
Amorphis
Wolfsheim (I think that was it, not 100% sure though)
Eisregen (good music, but better not listen to the text, their newest disc got banned for misanthropic lyrics ;) )
Motörhead

other good stuff:
Apocalyptica
Samsas Traum
Deamons and Wizards

hm well =) I surely forgot stuff, but that's what I can think about atm.

Hehe, I quite like symphonic Power metal like Blind Guardian and Nightwish.
In Flames were definatly good before they sold out :p
Six feet under i find quite boring death.
Evanescence, manson and Korn are all a load of shite.

My playlist contains:
Katatonia
Opeth
Nightwish
Carcass
Napalm Death
Therion
Dark Tranquility
Vehemence
Morbid Angel
Emperor
Borknagar
Vintersorg
Ulver
Tiamat
Decide
My Dying Bride
Anathema
and lots more :p

metal is predeclared as not pop.

That was before it became pop. It is pop now.

Typically I switch between playlists depending on what I do.

For RvR, some common are:

Red Hot Chili Peppers
Symphony X
Static-X
In Flames
Clawfinger
Queens of the Stone Age
Nightwish
Nirvana
Garbage
