Its great, I get a lot of good imput here. :)

Point is we are starting brand new chars, meaning taking this "rvr" group all the way from 20 together. through all the BG's ending in what I hope is a good group where ppl know their char and their groupbuddies.

So since we start from scratch we might as well try to get a good setup. :)

Thanls for all the imput, keep it comming. :)

Imo a group should have these 5 as basic:

- Cleric: 40 enhanc rest rejuv, play more offensive than other cleric with shears/assist stun.
- Cleric: whatever spec as long as it has 33+ rejuv :p.
- Sorc: duh. 44 Mind prefered.
- Theurg: petspam for the interupts on enemy healers/casters, decent nukes for assisting. Fotm air spec: 45 air, 21 earth, 21 ice). Pbt won't help much in fg fights anyway.
- BGer: both friar and pala are nice. Friar brings red resists and ST but dies rather fast. Pala brings end (nice for the casters/cleric for kiting), aotg for extra dmg output if you got tanks, and is a harder to kill.

Now for the remaining 3 spots you got some choices. Merc, reaver, caba, wiz, another BG/grappler, sorc, mincer, it basicly comes down to the person playing it. I'd go for 2x merc and caba, but I don't know what kinda impact the determination 'fix' will have. You might wanna consider using 3 tanks.

very few decent groups are dumb enough to let a theurg do his thing these days and if/when he does get to do it, the pets will usually die fast to twf3/pbaoe. this puts a question mark over a theurg imo.

wouldnt ice specced theurgs solve that problem? it will at least keep the pets up a bit longer because of the range

theres some shitty bug with ice pets tho, think if they lose LoS they dont re-aquire target and most good enemies know this. theurg is good, dont get me wrong, but its not the "must have" it was/shoulda been before twf3 arrived.

I know you all love to bitch at eachother, but do you mind doing it in another thread? Seems nowadays the thread dont matter, some ppl can allways find someone to bitch at.

And thanks Belomar, actually one that reads the thread. Still again thats for all the advice some ppl are giving. :) Getting wiser every day. ;)

PS: Wish threadstarter could delete posts in the thread. :(

There are 2 kind of grp setup for RvR tbh . Tbh is what u need more in RvR
For FoTM grps i suggest 2 opinion :

4 merc
1 pala
2 cleric
1 sorc
and 1 minstel
is my 1st opinion as albion tank grp owns mostly like old days , and my second opinion is like:
1 merc
1 pala
2 cleric
1 fire wizz
1 body sorc (mezzer support + heat dbuff)
1 mind sorc (main mezzer)
and 1 spirit caba (body dbuff)

Try the 2nd one and assist on fire wizz to see the results :worthy:

maybe u should consider jumping up and down on other people who post pointless crap/flames/flamebait before you consider banning ironheart

Maybe a CTR speedbot mincer, out of group? Just needs to be stuck to one of the support chars and you get free, passive speed5/ablative without sacrificing one of the group spots...

Mincers are very good for interrupts and and dont forget they have very useful RA`s (AM and SoS) and FZ .... there should be a mincer in every grp ... now that thats said ... GIV GRP :twak:

anyways as others said

cleric
cleric
sorc

Seems like the concensus is for the group above. Also, these classes seem to be available more and more as people roll alts.

Also, what does 21 earth and 21 ice bring compared to usual 27 earth and 8 ice? Just a better pet?

Blue con ice pets and ae root. Both have their use, unlike 10 sec grp pbt. imo :)

Oh and konah, a well played theurg can win the fight for you.

apart from clerics!

You hear that albion, roll a cleric today and you too can run in a setup like this instead of having to wait for 2 clerics to log on in CS for an hour ;)

tbh saveus i'd suggest getting a BGin there somewhere. Perhaps drop 1 cabby for it.
Say you take a pally, sure it reduces your nuking power a little, but a tank who an give all casters endo to kite, and grapple the charging zerk in vendo is pretty good imo.
We ran a really nice setup on tuesday(perhaps monday?) was:

Cleric
cleric
cabby
cabby
sorc
wizard
mincer
paladin

Not the most conventional, but it seemed to work well :D

I'd prefer a bg'er for one of the cabbies. :p

Rly? Well in my experience they dont often get allowed the chance to play well.

I sooner have a 2nd Cabby. Better dps, better survivability, better utility, almost as good interrupts (that dont need to be casted and can be pulled back from deathtraps).

Aye, was a really cool group that time. Charging maramar pally :p

Saveus setup works really well as well!! experienced that the past 2 days.

ml9 rr 5 abilities pets from cabbies on support, and uber pet spam from theurg around the place taking down support asap. Worked pretty smooth in most occasions, but failed miserably too sometimes :p

Kind of true versus good groups. When playing my Theurg as soon as two pets have gone I am bombarded like Hiroshima. I have learnt to try and hide and delay the pet spam a little, so other group members are getting the opponents attention and giving me some breathing space ;).

What's the concensus on 21 earth and ice then? Worth the respec stone?
