RuneMaster AE Group

I've been wondering about this for a while now and I'm posting the idea to see what sort of response it gets. If it's positive and enough people are up for it then I'll try it out and see what happens

Basically, I want to start an AE group with 7 Runies and 1 Healer. Each Runie must have 10 Second PBT and a good AE (preferably 40+ and any 'Flaming Spears of Death(TM) will do ). We co-ordinate our PBT tick-times so that we're sufficiently covered at all times and then pull a group of mobs (open to suggestions as to where we should do this) and then AE until they drop.

I know there are many holes in this idea but I'm open to suggestions and criticisms.

Sounds like a common pygmy goblin tactic in albion, 2 wizards, 1 theurgist, 1 minstrel. Theurgist chain AE roots, wizards chain AE nuke, minstrel is drumwhore. Can drop 15-20 goblins per pull pretty easily.

Sure you just stand where we tell you too , then you can watch all that you want

Suggestion

Get a healer in the group, and get them to AE stun the mobs after you have pulled them. And THEN nuke!

My favourite runie technique involves confuse though. Get a 10s bladeturn. Have all the group standing very close to each other. Pull a couple of mobs with confuse and then nuke until dead. (You could do this with a sorcerer/ minstrel & theurgist in Albion, but it is easier when one class has both powers -- and won't work with the warping higher level versions of confuse.)

that sound pretty smart but might not work if theres a group of tanks all hitting the same runie or healer,

i have a similar thing i wanna try out too but neva seen it happen . 8 paladin group 7 heal (regenerating 322hp every 6.5 seconds) and 1 damage chant (everyone+7.5dps) and when someone loses all end twists chants (some twisting coldward or armour or whatever ward)

Its been done Kladen, the Immortal boys - Ondor "I hate roleplayers" TheImmortal and his friends - used to do that regularly in PvE. Joined in a few times, was a lot of fun.

Would be nice to see it in RvR, but the lack of any ranged attack - and susceptibility to goddamn mezz - would probably make it less exciting.

Noooo!!!! scout duty.......

Come to think about it we need all the stealthers at the keeps not some remote spot /emote starts packing bags and prepares to drag it all to set a tent in Hadrians.

Back in ye olde days when DAoC was still fun, me and 7 other SotL went to Excal / Mid and did more or less the same thing, but with 8 runies, one full supression spec.

Level 1 - 5 was so fun The mobs just drop dead and we were taking on level 10 mobs at level 3. Was goooood. When we hit level 5 we had a group that could fire off FIFTEEN bolts That was quite cool too, but it was quite hard to kill things without losing one member, perhaps we just needed some practice.

The plan kinda died out tho, just thru having things to do on Prydwen.
