Wtf are you complaining about then? In the past 3 days i've played my Druid, Eld, Animist and Ranger (maybe will try Warden over the weekend). All have been fun. But the Ranger has been most fun by a long way. I know a Ranger that made 80k Rp on Wednesday night. Another made over 1 p in only a few hours of farming Albs.

Sweeping statements, gotta love em.

Admittedly 25% of lvl 50's being rangers is a bit rediculous i admit

But.

Not all rr 1-3 rangers are fotm, or pl'd or fins created, even new rangers (i have seen a few struggling solo to get to 50 the hard way recently)...and not all lvl 50 rangers rvr.

My ranger is only rr3 and been around since the first week of release (22 days solo play to hit 50 back when levelling wasnt a case of "Jam down shroom key and go to the pub" )

Some players play a ranger because they enjoy the class, not because its the latest thing.

Out of those 50 rangers i'll bet 20-30% are reactivated toons that have been in mothballs since the solo-sniper nerf ages ago, 40% Rangers that were rvr active anyway and the rest new rangers with a few non-pl'd fotm ones in the mix.

Post a list, i'd be interested to see if im anywhere near the mark

Realm Rank 5 lvl 1 mostly solo played and thanks to DF step camping.

Reason Playing Ranger more often :- Having Tank and Mage toons No 1 Wanted in RvR Grp Pre NF and Standing DL ( LFG ) for hours on End and not being Guilded to RvR Group.

Realm Rank 4L3 thanks to gear/ruddyn(rangers) and AoP for their help(I had no chance without a BB in RvR,thanks guys ).I like to duo with a ranger that I know of

Reason to play a ranger : I like scouting/watching enemy movements/keeptakes in frontier+I like exploring new regions on my own,for fun(and yes,I like Role Playing)

Didn't try my ranger in NF now, but might be fun to test a bit around, although only lvl 48 with R2L4 only =))

If you have 4 classes to RvR with and 3 of them are support, there's not much choice if you want a change =)

EDIT: and what Tallen says. If someone calls my ranger fotm, I'm gonna laugh like half an hour at the stupid comment. I started 3 years ago when this game came out, I did 90% solo to lvl 48 now and I really had big problems. So the first one saying I'm a fotm PL'd fins n00b in-game makes it to my signature =) That's an offer guys =)

So did i played my BM Ment Ranger and druid all tons of fun

about the leetching part better get used to it cause its part of the game now
(hate it to sumtimes but aint a thing you can do about it)

8v8 will come back but you cant own a spot or enemy its free for all
and afterall where all hibs fighting for the same cause so what the heck if they leetch or if theres a 1000 ranger running around

Agreed but reason I for 1 Concentrated more on my Ranger in past year is because Pre NF Sucked for me waiting hours on end For Grp then finally getting one Run All disband or Sorry Guild calling and Group falls apart.
My time has been with my Ranger so my Other Toons e.g Eld (Light Specced) in Epic armour with Gala Staff and No ML is a Gimp and shouldnt be anywhere near a group according to Elitists of Hib and same with my Other Toons.
My Time Commitment has been to Ranger only ML 2 as Real Life (Work/Family) take Priority.
The Ones are the people over the Last year Rolling out Rangers on the Fin treadmill who need to look at it more not Rangers who have had a Hard Slog from lvl1/lvl 20 type 1's who grinded and soloed they way to 50.
Rangers were never FOTM in Hib from Day 1 but Fins made the levelling of them way to easy.How sad that one day a Lvl 50 Fins PL Ranger once asked me what do I spec in as a Ranger.Those are the Hib who Let us down not the 1's who made it there off they own back.
I'd Gladly play my Eld Which Btw Soloed to 43 then Fin grped when it was Tanks but I'm not Prepared to Stand in DL For 3-4 Hrs Going Eld LFG and I gladly take my others if they were needed but as I stressed I will not be standing in DL like a Spare Prick at a Brothel hanging around.

My ranger got powerleveld all teh way to 50 just in time for NF. I dont really see any shame in it, ive leveld more characters and done more pve the normal way than 99% of hib, and I dont think tanking poorly or soloing trees for 20 days would really improve my game, and im sure as hell not doing it to impress some old school rangers.

I rolled one for a number of factors, I really enjoyed playing a ranger in BG1, I knew they where strong this patch, and I have tanks,healers and mages, I needed a steatlher and chose ranger over nightshade. Like a few others im sick of playing lfg and its nice to have a proper solo option or someone to have fun with other stealthers.

People who QQ about stealthers get on my tits a bit. Stealthers have crap speed and cannot move around fast, if a battle appears around them they will join in. If you QQ about stealtehrs adding well, tbh its probably you that ran to where they are and started fighting rather than the other way around. Besides who needs them rps more, your group or a soloer, QQing at soloers for helping where they can just makes you look like a greedy rp whore.
