Here's the thing that really bugs me about RvR as a tank (And maybe in general), not getting RPs because you died!
Fair enough if you are lying dead on the floor while your party kills 50 invaders then you probably shouldn't get any RPs.
But it's very annoying to go charging into a red enemy get them down to within an inch of their life before dying and then have 50 realm mates charge in behind you and finish the guy off, and what do you get for a) finding him in the first place and b) doing all the damage? Nothing!
I think Mythic should change this, you should get RP if you did the damage before you died.
The real problem with this is that the tank is already gimped, but on top of that you don't get RPs. Since for a tank to be getting RPs you have to be in the front line hitting something, if you are in the front line hitting something your going to get hit and subsequently die a lot, while the casters at the back rake in the RPs (I know you can group with casters, but noone likes to HAVE to rely on others)
I see this only getting worse when these realm abilities are patched in. I don't know what Mythic are thinking but these abilities are only going to widen the gap since the steathers have all the RPs to spend anyway (More critical shots, instant stealths)
