RPs and Death

Here's the thing that really bugs me about RvR as a tank (And maybe in general), not getting RPs because you died!

Fair enough if you are lying dead on the floor while your party kills 50 invaders then you probably shouldn't get any RPs.
But it's very annoying to go charging into a red enemy get them down to within an inch of their life before dying and then have 50 realm mates charge in behind you and finish the guy off, and what do you get for a) finding him in the first place and b) doing all the damage? Nothing! :(
I think Mythic should change this, you should get RP if you did the damage before you died.
The real problem with this is that the tank is already gimped, but on top of that you don't get RPs. Since for a tank to be getting RPs you have to be in the front line hitting something, if you are in the front line hitting something your going to get hit and subsequently die a lot, while the casters at the back rake in the RPs (I know you can group with casters, but noone likes to HAVE to rely on others)

I see this only getting worse when these realm abilities are patched in. I don't know what Mythic are thinking but these abilities are only going to widen the gap since the steathers have all the RPs to spend anyway (More critical shots, instant stealths) :)

make a caster then :)
casters have more strife than tanks imo , casters = virtually free rp's to a sniper . and there is a hella lot of snipers out there .

forget the snipers, casters are my haven, i strike fast enough so that they dont get even a quickcast in before the die normally, or one at the most and thats not enough to kill me normally :)

tanks on the other hand i despise and avoid, unless i do a lot of ducking and diving i can rarely take an even-level tank

you have to know that you are good against :) imo it goes like this

Assasians vs Ranged
Ranged vs Melee
Melee vs Assasians

all else fits in around that :)

oh and when they add the new system of rank bonuses you will be able to get a dd probably which means you can hit ppl from a range (if you arent already with something), which means you can still get the odd rp when they die normally it seems :)

Yeah casters are one shot kills for snipers, but this doesn't happen in the front lines so casters can get rezzed and receive realms points. It happens more often when not even in combat so the one shot kills don't lose anything (Rez sickness isn't even a problem to them)

Dont attack the reds then look for some yellow or blue or oranges, I love to attack a poor yellow caster and do the bladedance with him (but i dont like the troll guardin the caster..)

And where are all the trolls when we come to Yggdra......and when did the guards learn to swim.

Well a caster, shade, sniper is the best RvR chars you can get :clap:

hahaha red enemy, i remember my lvl 21 ranger kicking arse in emain then some fucker nerfed him.
