Can you please provide evidence that Utd are £700m in debt.

It is a well known fact United are about 750 mill in debt.

However, the word debt is very subjective.

Chelsea are also 732 mill in debt.

Again, the word 'debt' is subjective.

Basically - its a shit arguement, and all it does is add to the talk that Chelsea get it easy because of Abramovich, which seems true from my seat.

David Gill told the BBC last week it was around £760 million but with revenues in excess of £200 million last year and £300 million in this coming year the debt is very sustainable unless the whole worldwide enconomy had a MAJOR crash.

One of the things Arsenal need to be greatful to Keith Edelman for is changing our Emirates debt to a 25 year loan fixed at a very low interest rate. The increase in profit is 3 times greater than our loan repayments. 25 years is longer than i though seeing as its £260 mil

Another interesting thing is Arsenal team wage bill is similar to Man U and higher than Liverpools but we just have less of a gap between our top earners and the rest of the team. And its confirmed Wenger really has no spending limit they say they have never told him no on a player and are not going to start now.

I listened to SSN last night and it had a very interesting point.

Ronaldo must come out ASAP and say "I am staying", if he remains silent then it says a thousand words to Man Yoo fans. Something similar happend with Fatty Ronaldo and ZZ. They had Real saying "we would like Ronaldo" and "We would like ZZ". a month later, they were coming out saying "Yes I am siging for them"

No thanks.

For starters the 3 players would not improve the team.

Ronaldo will go when SAF retires in 3 or 4 years time.

You seem very confident about that. I'd say it's more likely that Ronaldo leaves whenever Quieroz does. Which will be before or after SAF, but not at the same time.

Agree with that not just for Ronaldo any player that gets linked should come out and say it. I know if they get linked 5 times a week it gets boring. But just saying "no matter what you hear im a Arsenal Player now and i will be next season thats the end of it".

Could be soon the rumour sites are saying he wants assurances he will take over from SAF or he will leave.

Typical real Madrid bollocks though, they have been told no and Ronaldo has said no earlier in the season. However in order to keep the fans happy Real constantly talk about the best players joining their team. How did they get on in the Champions League? pesh is the answer.

I rate Ramos, Diarra is not Man Utd Quality. Robinho is up for debate.

I dont know why any one would want to leave the greatest club in the world right now? I doubt its for Money, the only other two things that could be justified would be if he said it was the weather and to be closer to his mother.

Because united arent the greatest club in the world, Real Madrid are which is why Ronaldo wants to sign for them.

And where is my £20? :D

Indeed. Super league was like that too, until we (St helens) took our foot off the pedal and let Leeds Rhinos win it last season.

:D

Just look at yourself Marc. I mean, you live in Liverpool (tell me if this is wrong) and you support Barcelona and La Liga over the Premiership?

There's something wrong about that.

What difference does it make where people live?

I mean I'm not radical. I don't mind if people from Portsmouth want to support Man United (just a random example).

But when someone who is English and lives in England supports Spain ... I don't know what to make of that.

My dad was a scout for barcelona and I am half spanish, the spanish side of my family all live in Barcelona. This is why I have an affinity with them. Not that I should explain myself to an arsehole like you, but there you go.

Yea, my great grandad lived in Madrid for two weeks so that's why I support Real Madrid!

/sarcasm.

Umm, how does that have anything to do with what marc said? He said he's half - spanish, not just that one side of his family lives there. Although I do hate rugby league :(

In what alternate reality? Real are badly run, in a league that's probably the third best in Europe. They're not even the best supported club in the world anymore. Quieroz has told Ronaldo he'd be mad to sign for Real at the moment, and if Ronaldo listens to anyone, its him. All Ronaldo's doing right now is winding up the press and sending a signal to SAF that he deserves a pay rise (which is a fair point), but Ronaldo can also make more in sponsorship ad endorsments playing for United than just about anybody. No doubt he'll go to Spain one day, but I'd bet its at least two years away, probably 3; SAF will want to keep him until we've made the Scousers cry by beating their title record, or even better, matching their Big Cup record (although that's a long shot).

As for the proposed swap players; Ramos is interesting because a world-class right back is the main weak link in the United squad, Diarra, meh, Carrick and Hargreaves have that position well covered, and as for Robinho, yeah just what United need, another undersized forward. I'm sure if SAF could get Ramos he'd be interested, but Alves is nearly as good, they don't need Diarra, and Ferguson will want a full-fat centre forward like Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (or similar) to give him some options when Mr. Glass goes.
