That Italy can win is just sad for football in general as they showed time and time again at the WC they never play to win, they play not to lose. Sad that such a team can win but thats football. It it's not worth watching, tho the final had it's moments. Italy is the next most whining team after Portugal, just sad how the lie around on the field when nothing is wrong, and taking the ball with the hands cause "well I fell over myself and deserves a freekick" that should just earn a yellow card.

Zidane was a fool tho he should have waited for the game to be over the headbutted him on the nose.

not read the rest of the thread, but if he was going to assualt the player then he should have just took him out the game as well, all subs been used so by doing so least they would been down to 10 men and his team not at a disadvantage.

However, with that said i can not condone the attack in the first place, no place for it on the field. If he had made insults then he should have dealt with them in another mannor

It was kinda typical of what was essentially another sad WC for football when all's said and done.

The teams which succeeded were the ones who played negative football & were eager to cheat whenever possible. That a team like Italy can win is a terrible indictment to the state of football (& possibly the state of society).

The teams which tried to play positive entertaining football got knocked out by the negatives 1-by-1.

FIFA was corrupt crap as always.

I want to know why the ref sent him off after speaking to the 4th official the guy who is supposed to review injury time and replace someone if injured, not to decide punisments point out errors ect. Unless they changed that now. All i can think is that guy must have said something very bad to ZZ as he is normally calm and controlled.
