has a little slimey snail or slug, slugged across a really busy motorway in england on its foot, no birds or planes or anything involved, it just slugs alongwhat if a bird carried it over... your question isn't thorough enough
Calculate cars that can(at max) fit on lanes.
Multiply the number of cars by 2(two pairs of tires).
These are the danger zones for said slug, other places are safe(under cars etc).
Calculate speed of snail.
Calculate width of average car tire.
This is how long it takes the snail to clear a danger zone.
Calculate the average amount of cars that pass one point.
Compare that to slugs "crossing danger zone" speed.
This is how many cars cross the slugs path while in danger zone.
Then just calculate the possibility of a slug being on that danger zone at the time of a car passing and voila, probability of survival.
It's late and i'm not quite sure that's exact but...you get the point.
or we could catch 50000 slugs and snails and set them all off at once
then the car is gonna crush them all at the same time if the slugs have a constant speed. I say set them off in intervals, 1 second after another.
btw to slugs have feet?![]()
do you reckon a snail or a slug has ever got across the busiest motorway in england from one hard shoulder to the other in prime time or even at night
rarely used motorway
Or just have someone lob the slug from one side of the road to the other...
