Reply from GOA regarding hinge bug

After ripping me off for 500g with a hinge bug. I now get this response from our lovelly friends at GOA.

Unfortunately you cannot retrieved your money and after checking your informations it did not appear that it was a bug.

You might get a little symapthy if you told us how you lost the money, thats an awful lot of hinges youd have to make to loose that much cash.

No im not looking for sympathy, Just trying to inform people who have had the same thing happen to them of the type of response they may get from GOA.

For those who dont know, when we recieved 1.54 we were told that with the returns on diamond seals being changed, it was best to salvage as much as possible before patch and not to have any hinges left over. Before it went live, i salvaged what was left of my helms and old armour to asterite bars to get the best return on them.

When the patch went live i decided to then trinket them into hinges to sell for cash. But all the hinges i made with the bars were worth 6silver 30 copper each stack of 10.

Thats it, end of story. No big loss as it was only 500g.The only point of this post was to highlight again, what the providers of the service we PAY for regard as customer service.

Hm. i did same thing - salvaged all my chains and got about 800 asterite and put them into my vault and this morning I just made them hings and got right price. Maybe im just lucky or something.

I had 2500 bars or so in vault and got full price for every single hinge I made.

I think atleast if you had made the hinges pre-patch, they'd sell for less. No idea what happened with you.

Mmm, maybe it was because i had the bars in the backpack then and not in the vault ?

I salvaged my helms before the patch and hinged after to.

Didnt see any problems with mine either. Cant remember if I ha the bars in bag or vault though.

Sorry for your loss, but surely after you sold the first few you would have noticed the bad price, and not sold the rest. Bummer tho

Aye, i should of checked each and every stack i sold, but when you are doing the amount i am at the moment, your brain just shuts down and you just follow a routine.It was only around 13 stacks of hinges and i only noticed the error as my gold amount had`nt moved.

Im just pissed off that GOA can call 1 and a half lines of crap english a solution to my problem. When i post on here and can get more info in half the time, just makes you think what is the whole point of "Right Now" anyway.

Aye , there was a bug immediately after the patch , stacks were selling for something like 6 silver , it was reported by a few people in the guild . So it certainly cant be our fault but the fault of faulty patching . Oh and how many times did I say " fault "
