My mate has given me an LCD monitor, however the adaptor for it disappeared ages ago so I need to get a replacement. Input for it is 19V 2.6A DC.

Manufacturer appears to be an outfit called Chi Mei in Taiwan somwhere, already emailed them to enquire about getting a replacement but I'm not holding my breath. In the meantime I've been looking around online and I haven't found any 19V adapter with less then 3A.

Anyone got any ideas?

You're talking about a power supply?

It's the monitor which draws 2.6A of current, not the power supply which outputs 2.6A of current. Therefore you could buy a 19VDC 5A power supply if you wanted to.

Just make sure whatever power supply you buy supplies +ve and -ve on the correct pins.
