btw im hijacking your thread with a question about service pack. It advises me to installl SP1 or higher when launching AOC. I did without and it seemed to load up to login screen fine. What differenes will it make if i install Sp1?

I'm asuming this is Vista? if so then i'm not sure if it will make any difference at all (don't quote me tho as i'm an XP whore) most like more stability/stronger security and a few new features tho.

Funcom said you will experience less crashes of the AoC-client if you use Vista SP1. I d stay kool and check out if thats really an issue, before I ll put the full SP on my rig. So far I am just using the patches downloaded via the windows updater and my client was rather stable in the last patchiterations.

i just got approved too but when i went 2 download the client the only link i get is to download the us client, but all my details are for the uk?!?!

This is hilarious i emailed em asking about whether i will be able to get into the EU version as i paid for early access and only got a link to the US client but they replied saying the english EA is full there is some space in france and germany sorry for any problems but keys will still give the items and shit blah blah auto message

So had to reply explaining how people are still getting in and paying today but i received the US client instead of EU like others so wtf did i pay for if i won't be able to get into the EU version...waiting for a reply

For those with the same issue as me with the "EARLY ACCESS USA" read the following - official AOC GM e-mailed me this.




Early Access: Begins May, 17th2008" . And again it shows you are set for EURO/UK version. It appears that everything is in order. If you're still seeing different information that's telling you you're going to play the US early acces,then respond back and we'll go from there.



so according to them even if it says USA its an error and u should be ok for UK access.

Has anyone been able to log in yet? I get an error saying "Unable to connect to the authentication server!"

Presumably their internet is spammed (see forum crash).
