A very camp looking flyer for the BNP's latest get together. Sounds a real blast though, on the agenda this year :

A truly fantastic weekend for all the family with political speeches and workshops for the serious but fun for everyone including a busy marketplace of local produce and crafts, creche, Punch and Judy show, sports, a dog show, musical entertainment and of course the tremendous firework display on the Saturday evening.

As the event is open to paid up members only, please quote your membership number when applying for tickets.

The use of our own very English language and it's quirky gramma' is amazing.

Anyone from here going? Any good or bad stories from last years festival?

I was kind of hoping the supporters of the far right and Nationalist ideas would give their opinion of the event and Mr Griffin, thus far the forum opinion leans towards the BNP being a bit of a joke.

I still sometimes wonder though if they are not a viable protest vote to try and wake up the tories or even labour to the opinions of a huge amount of people in this country, the ones who actually do think that immegration is a problem.

I'm firmly of the belief that British culture should be protected. I note there is a proposal not to teach the history of English culture in schools any more, well thats not on IMO.

While the BNP do propose some interesting policies, I can't help feeling that they're bigots masquerading as reasonable people. The people that vote for them IMO are ignorant and ill-informed.

So long as we can continue to celebrate British culture, I couldn't care if someone wanted to build a Mosque or a Temple.

I would like to know though if its true that the majority of Sikh schoolchildren do well in school, whereas their Muslim equivalents do poorly. Or is that just a crap rumour I heard?

So yes, although you do have Muslim indians aswell aswell as Hindu & Sikhs Pakistanis and Hindu & Sikh Bangladeshis, i would believe that the majorities of each religion reflect the country, no idea though. Its obvious the Indian community is doing something right however.

And where are the all going to live? In the leafy suburbs next-door to the ivory towers inhabited by the people that think this is a good idea?
No. They are mostly going to live in the south east of England. So, lets get a whole load of bulldozers and flatten the remaining countryside, to build accomodation for people.
I love the countryside. Should I therefore abandon the South East and go an live somewhere else?

India is only 80.5% Hindu.

People should stop being selfish gits and stop living on their own. That's the biggest cause of housing problems. There is plenty of accomodation but people don't want to live in families any more or share...
that and people buying multiple properties in buy to let schemes raising prices in the nice areas so people are forced out of the confides of london and forcing development in more rural areas...

Buddhism and Sikhism stem from Hinduism while Islam is an Abrahamic religion same as Judasism and Christianity.

I think Indians tend to be more westernised than the other two countries of origin. And that because they have been willing to intergrate thats the reason they are doing well.

People have to stop complaining about the eastern europeans, They are generally harder working, alot of them are uni educated, cheaper, and also they want to do well. They are given NI numbers because they then pay tax. And i'd rather have hard working, god fearing easter europeans than the native Chav's.
