India is only 80.5% Hindu.

So its more Hindu than we are Christian then. I'd have to say, from my limited experience I'd guess its the Sikhs and Hindus who do better academically; there seems to be more of a desire to integrate, and girls in particular are pushed to do well academically, which seems to be more of a challenge for Pakistani/Moslem girls (I went out with a Pakistani girl at Uni and she had to fight tooth and nail to go to college at all, and if her brothers had found out about me she'd have been taken out of college).

Agree with Furr about Eastern Europeans in general; better they come here and pay tax in the UK, than us paying taxes to support their countries through the EU.

The prime minister of India is a Sikh

Buddhism and Sikhism stem from Hinduism while Islam is an Abrahamic religion same as Judasism and Christianity.

I think Indians tend to be more westernised than the other two countries of origin. And that because they have been willing to intergrate thats the reason they are doing well.

People have to stop complaining about the eastern europeans, They are generally harder working, alot of them are uni educated, cheaper, and also they want to do well. They are given NI numbers because they then pay tax. And i'd rather have hard working, god fearing easter europeans than the native Chav's.

Doh! not sure where I got that from, was sure he was muslim, hmm maybe the president is muslim.

edit: yep just checked, it is the President of India who is muslim.

It's all to do with upbringing tbh. Whilst the English are brought up to drink beer and start fights, and the French are brought up to shrug their shoulders a lot and go on strike if it's a Thursday, Indians are brought up to work really hard at everything they do.

So yes it would seem that Indians are mainly Hindu and Sikh while Pakistani's and Bangladeshi's are overwhelmingly mainly Muslim.
