Photography Re sizing pictures

Is there a quick way to take a bunch of photos and re size them as one batch rather than individually doing it one by one

I have camera photos that are too big, around 4500p wide and I want to select them all and change them to 800p

Is there a way to do it in windows, or do I need a bit of photo software?

If one of the photo gurus can't point you in the right direction. Check this site out. It mentions that this software supports batch processing. http://photofiltre.free.fr/frames_en.htm I have never used it though.

It's one of the first things I install on a fresh machine - set it as default picture viewer too, easy controls, awesome features.

Either IrfanView or XnView.
