Rational, Civilized People 1 : 0 Inbred, Bloodthirsty Toffs

its all a case of who is more important.
1 the fox hunt peeps who support several comunities not just Dogs + horses + toffs = hunt. The people that make the clothing, train the dogs, breed the dogs, keep the dogs when its not hunt season, boot makers, hat makers, people who supply food and drink (because they do eat) local people who rely on the hunt organisers to bring money into the local comunity. This is all money that is going to come from where now ?
2 a group of people who dont live anywhere near these hunts have decided it is their moral duty to stop these hunts. Rely on shock tactics to sucker in the general population who dont live anywhere near these small comunitys. Ive seen the protesters in my local town they pick specific targets that they see as the easy option.
Frankly it may be cruel but it keeps people in jobs and personally 1 dead fox vs more people on unemployment benefit + dead comunities then i would have to side with killing a fox.
And i wonder how many of those hunt activitst work in the country i bet 9 out of 10 of them work in an office in some major city or town where they do sod all and get paid for it.
The only people i think had any right in this vote are
1. The people who directly benefit from the hunt (not the hunt organisers)
Btw cant stand animal right activists think they are all a waste of space.
RSPCA are more important than animal right activists.

uhm all those people have work because its entertainment and a few cause the nature has to be healthy. The people looking out for the nature can still work if you find that important and there will be new jobs as those people who went on the hunt will find something new that entertains them so that will generate new jobs.
If you allow fox hunts than you are saying that animals have no rights, which is possibly ok. However I do think most people do think that they have some rights and while human rights are more important, to cause an animal stress just so you can have some fun with it isnt ok. As far as I know it isnt ok(atleast morally) to kick your dog just because you like doing it.
Sure its tradition and it does provide jobs. However lots of things were traditions that have been outlawed now and those people on the hunt will still want some large social event as replacement of the hunt, so that will provide jobs aswell and just because it provides jobs doesnt mean you should continue allowing it.

And I agree with Tom's point about other cruel things such as fishing. Fishing is a lot worse than Fox Hunting, but you wont see that banned. Maybe people should just accept the darker side of humanity - that this kind of stuff is fun for people.
