Yahheheh first post!
Just bought the game this lunch time, thought about risking an install on my new work pc, but decided against it .......... so am looking forward to trying this when i get home. The demo was great, i just hope the multi-player side of the game is good or it will hold limited appeal for me.

Had time to finish the US campaign and start the Brit one before work demanded I travel to sunny Telford...ugh.

Yeah it's good, bit buggy as it continually freezes up or at least thats what myself and several other people are finding.

I was just playing the single player missions and it was the bit in the French car, we were racing towards some barns, off road and down a hill, and as we pass these troop transports and spin around to shoot the troops the game crashed, it repeated the crash at the same point

Bought it last week at Walmart... and already done.

The British campaign was most fun tbh... great game but you aren't really dependent on your AI squad mates, some unrealistic no-no's (I am a little nitpicky when it comes to that, so bear with me) like German soldiers carrying the Sturmgewehr 44 in the Stalingrad scenario, not being able to use regular Kar98 ammo for the scoped Kar98... etc.

Haven't tried multiplayer yet... but I guess it will be a bit like MOHAA, which rocked.

i had a quick go in DM didnt have any stalling problems allthough i am getting a solid 60 fps in game


while it was good fun i think it will be much better in a team based situation

Very strange, it sort of crashed again and then carried on with some funny colours at the top of the screen. I changed screen size and they disappeared but on returning to my desktop the screen size had gone down one and the refresh rate dropped to 60hz

It also seems some other people have exactly the same problem.

I have been doing some testing trying to figure out what setting is crashing the game, if you run with the lowest it works fine with the car chase. I have managed to turn everything back on full except I kept the number of corpes to small, this seems to have fixed the problem. Those of you with Radeon cards, give this a go and post here if you if works or not.

Something I read said about going no higher than 1024x768 res, although now I'm pass that one bit in the game it hasn't crashed again...so far

On the second demo I found it ran fine with a Radion until I put the player detail on the highest setting, then it crashed.
1024-768 by the way.

I read somewhere turning off VPU-Recover helped a few people out.

Same problem here, chrashes on the same scene over and over again :/

Radeon 9600 Pro here with 3.9 Cats (game wouldnt even start up with my 3.4 Cat drivers :/)

Gonna try now if the lower bodies thingie works :/

If your having crashing probs, do the following:

1) Go back to the optimal settings
2) Try to go through the part in the game that crashed
3) Assuming it works increase the various settings
4) Try running the part of the game that crashes
5) If it works increase the various settings again

Keep this going until it crashes, then just go back one step. This worked for me and I no longer get any problems. I have everything on full except the number corpes is set to small. Of course your system has to be up to it in the first place so everyone will be different.

Wipe out, going to try Cat 3.8s if turning fast writes off doesn't work.

Its starting to do my head in
Ive been looking forwards to this game since playing the demo and at the mo its freezing/crashing randomly. I havent spotted any pattern.
First instinct was to blame my new Radeon 9800 pro as i installed that around the same time. Im reading through the CoD forums (thanx throd ) at the moment and nothing conclusive
Just got to the car chase mission too. Its a pity really as the game (from what ive played) is very good!

Oh well, hopefully itll be sorted soon.

Am using a gf4 4800 here and no problems so far .......... other than my seriously aged feeling reflexes, but drivers wont help I think
Throd - Try a mates copy or something first, but imo this game is very nice indeed and worth the purchase .... and I've only played the sp mode so far! It's definately worth a look!

As I understand it, the errors with the Radeons / all ATi cards are explained within the first few seconds of loading the game;

Im probably cursing it now but ive installed the cat 3.7's and SO FAR it hasnt crashed! Might be time to try a higher res now 800*600 does suck a bit, althought framerates appear to be brilliant! I havent noticed a slow down yet! But then again i have been too busy mowing down germans...!

I can see this being quite fun online too!
