I move countries every 3 years or so and sometimes yearly depending upon my rental contract... I don't tend to gather much stuff these days as I know that tomorrow the company could send me anywhere in the world and I hate packing ;/

Bro has just had a 6yd skip delivered on my drive (he has no drive). I have spent the last hour being ruthless in the garage and throwing servers, pcs, drums, guitars (rock band shite etc), lights, out of date beer etc into the skip. In a mo I will be in the loft finding shit to throw out, had enough of clutter, time to go minimalistic, thongs from tomorrow :p

I need to clear my garage out. Its split level: underneath the vehicles, then above them on massive wooden beams is a large flat storage area full of stuff. It will have to wait until Spring now.

Emptied out quite a bit of garage, most of loft is in kitchen, time to fuck of the neighbours off with some loud clanging noise! Basically anything not needed after 12 mths is going in the skip. Fuck it and them!

When I was living with the last ex the place was very minimalist to the point that the TV remotes lived in the arm of the sofa when not in use. Everything was hidden in the kitchen and nothing lived on a sideboard. It was fantastic when it was clean but I got in trouble more than once for leaving a beer bottle on the floor. She had me cleaning most days and it worked well she had a rota and i had my jobs she had hers (Bins were a blue job, ironing was a pink job ect ect). Now my room back home is very very similar. Lots of empty flat surfaces that show dust very well. So i dust and hoover once a week. Now with the new girl it is worse and normally the night before she comes round, as it is an old house shit looks dusty about an hour after dusting.

It was bad she is a neat freak and did have a cleaning rota and went mental when you left the bath dirty :) I did get to the point I was quickly cleaning it after a shower before work so if she got home early and wanted a bath I did not get a snotty text haha.

My house is a *relative* tip. The cat dying has helped with the cleanliness tho.

Who'd have thought I'd prefer a litter-strewn and poo-smelling living room? :)

My sister's house is beyond immaculate. She's the sort of person who gets annoyed by the dirtiness of faded paint that hasn't been washed for a week and therefore her house gets decorated all the time.

I did well this year. Got a leather sofa and chair in near mint condition. She apologised for the wrinkles. Women with lawyer husbands eh? :D

when I moved to where I live now (Deebs' been to my old place, which is why I moved, see ;) ) I went down in to my storage area, looked at the full moving house boxes which had not been touched in 3 years and just chucked them in the town recycling thing. unopened.

It's coming up on living where I do now for 2 years. I've already sorted through my books to sort out those which I shall be recycling, and there's a tonne of old paperwork which will be destroyed once I get me a proper filing cabinet.

I'm sharing the kitchen, bathroom and shower with 10 other people and it's actually quite fresh. My own room - shared with the girlfriend - is a bit cluttered, but otherwise clean. Kinda hard to keep a 15m2 room free of clutter though when two people live in it.. :p

I wouldn't like to share a bathroom with 10 ppl.

If you're 11th in line for a Tom Tit, by the time you've managed to stop the turtle's head touching cloth, the smell in there would be thick enough to cut a piece out with a knife, throw it against a wall, and watch it slowly slide down.
