Firstly, yes there are jobs that someone in a wheel chair can't do, obviously, fireman of paramedic for example.

You are completely wrong however when you say that a company has to pay for any changes to employ someone with a disability, that is what the "Access to work" scheme is for.

And are you seriously saying that someone in a wheel chair, by default, should be confined soley to office work?!? Ermmm wow! I'll have to mention that to my friend who teaches para-gliding, he's been in a chair 20 years and teaching 15, we must put a stop to that immediately lol

no im saying it stupid if somthing needs to be changed in order for them to do a job jsut so the company isnt seen as discriminating, if some1 overcomes thier disability then good for them but i don't see why companies, who are thier to make money not supply jobs, should be forced to employ some1 unsuitable for the role

*Before you launch in to the obvious attack - I've never had trouble getting work so I'm not making excuses. If you think all it takes is a bit of effort to find paying work, you're massively misguided and, well, a fool.

Regarding the job front im guess im lucky in that i always manage to get a job, proboly cos i always bombard everywhere with CVs and will do anything, its funny that despite how bad i am with money for some reason my brain always makes sure i have roof and food before i spunk the rest away on booze and banking charges .

However my dad was out of work for a long time my he was replaced by a machine (ouch) as he was a printer all his life, and it took him ages to find work again he took little bits here and there before finally finding a good job as a carer, im guessing age plays a big part in your abiltiy to get a job.

I guess im always in work as im young and desperate and will do anything....just like my sex life..............

In short my advice is, have no pride, have no standards when it comes to the basics of living on your own, i would scrape toilets (and i have) if it ment keeping a roof over my head.

Usually in an arguement, the person making such wild claims, such as yourself, will provide the evidence, and we will criticise it and so on.

As much as I search this thread (I haven't - I just know) you have provided a grand total of fuck all evidence - just the so called educated 'points' of an individual.

You can carry on throwing about your uneducated comments to people, but I'd largely suspect they would be wrong, not to mention making yourself come across as uneducated yourself.

Number of vacancies at around 500k, as bugz said. Number of economically inactive of working age, almost 8 million. Even ignoring that, the claimant count was 1.23 million - quite a way over the number of vacancies.

Plus, the statistics aren't really the point - the fact is, life isn't always as straight forward for all people. Things get complicated, people can't always get paying work. Live a little, get some perspective and stop being such a belligerent little child and you might realise this.

edit: All that took was a google "unemployment vs job statistics uk" - you know, it wouldn't hurt to challenge your own perspective with research from time to time. You might find it makes you less of an idiot.
