I've had the same issue;

Check your power button menu, I noticed mine was set to sleep rather than shut down and I was curious whether it mattered so I changed it to shut down and the problem seems to have gone away.

They seem to be correct at the moment, although I did realise my computer was saving power by turning off HDR.

Whenever Windows says "do not switch the power off" I immediately thing 'oh fuckoff, you belong to me, I set the rules' and consider turning it off anyway.

Speaking of Windows update. The recent update has banjaxed a script I run to switch between speakers and headphones, mapped to a macro button on my keyboard. Wankers, took me ages to get it working.

Windows Updates are fucking brilliant tbh.

"Sorry i was late to the pointless call you scheduled that could have been handled via email, Windows did an update thing."

For the 3rd time today. I really should get IT to look at that....

Over thinking the simple things. So drilled a hole with a holesaw and realised it was too small. Got the correct size holesaw on the drill and then tried to build a pilot hole so the holesaw would bite and make the hole bigger. Spent at least 2 fucking hours last night trying all sorts of tape, metal, wood and sheer luck.

Alas I got in a foul mood and downed tools. Was talking to my daughter this morning and mentioned my foul mood and why, her partner came on and said put the original holesaw inside the correct size holesaw and it will drill the hole. Ok I thought, surely cannot be that simple?

20 seconds later correct size hole was drilled. Think I need to just give up DIY.

I think ChrisTitusTech Tool has a feature to disable windows auto restart for updates might be worth checking out.

Halfords antiquated online ordering system. 2 weeks after you ordered a ground anchor and 13 days after the order entered the "Getting your parcel ready for delivery" you try to cancel it but you can't cancel online, you are forced to use live chat and the first phase is a bot that sends you back to the page you just left telling you to use live chat. Once through the bot, you reach the first actual person who is about as useful as a chocolate teapot and tells you it'll have to be raised to a higher level and it'll be dealt with within 48 hours, which it wasn't thus you repeat the process and decide after still getting the same response to leave it with your bank card provider to claw back the money which was naturally taken out the day after the order and sadly have to use Amazon.

Any worthless retailer that uses AI chatbots for customer service gets instantly blocked from all future custom. It is designed, explicitly, to make you give up.

Just refuse delivery and go through VISA/Mastercard chargeback, if they mess you about.
