If you get all the drives from the same batch and start using them about the same time. I guess the chances of them failing close together are higher.
Indeed and they were.

This worries me ... alot.... so much pr0n!!!
Tbh i never bothered stashing pron on drives. Its so freely available whats the point in storing it?
Its a specialist area for sure. I must be too main streamI suppose the thing with porn is that it's nice to see yourself represented up on screen, helps with the immersion I guess.
@Jupitus seems to agree, and midget porn can be quite hard to find, so grab it while you can I say.
Exactly the same case as I have, the Lian Li 8000DMost of my storage server is in one of these:
I've got 38 3.5" drives in that beast.

Yup, I remember you refusing to use the wheels.Exactly the same case as I have, the Lian Li 8000D
Yup there was the PC-D600 as well at the same sort of time with 10 5.25" bays but that one was also discontinued I think. Depending on how many drives you're talking about, you might be better off with a rackmount chassis. It's probably what I would do with hindsight if I was starting afresh - a couple of 24-drive 4U chassis in a 10-12U cabinet. That one seems to be EOL years ago and has no direct replacement. Not sure I need that many drive bays either.

On Paypal, what's the point of having a "trust this device" checkbox if it's still going to ask for a 2FA code every time I login?
Unfortunately most developers currently take "Trust this device" to mean don't worry about the 2nd part of 2FA (either a hard or soft token). That would kind of defeat the purpose of 2FA and it's extra security. It forces you to have "something you know and something you have". Ticking the box just automates the "know" part, you should absolutely still need to have the token. If FH isn't doing that then I blame @Deebs
So why can I still login without ticking the box? I'm not talking about a "not a robot" captcha. To me (and every other site I've used 2FA on that has the checkbox) the "trust this device" option allows you to say that whatever device you're on shouldn't be asked for a 2FA token for x days (I think it's 30 for FH). So every 30 days, FH logs me out and demands the code but the Paypal one does nothing. That would kind of defeat the purpose of 2FA and it's extra security. It obviously impacts the security somewhat in favour of convenience but on a secure home PC that only I use, it's fine.
Every other site I've seen (including FH) doesn't ask again for 30 days or whatever if you tick that box but it appears to do absolutely nothing on Paypal.
So, again, what's the point of the "trust this device" checkbox if I can login fine with it unticked? You made it sound like part of the login process in the other post but from what I can see it does nothing. For a forum like FH it's fine but for a financial site like Paypal it is definitely not fine. If you got infected with some malware they just could remote login to your machine and access your Paypal account with no credentials. I don't care how secure you think your machine is, is that a risk worth taking?
It was a bit (but admittedly not completely) tongue-in-cheek @DaGaffer.
More than 150,000 people are demanding the removal of a film they say sexualises children. One problem: they haven’t seen it

I agree - Netflix may be really dumb at promoting it's films but this:
Is still absolutely thing. And it's not limited to poorly promoted films - that mentality does have a tendency to pop up all over the place and it isn't welcome.
If that mentality wasn't a thing, then there wouldn't be this sort of story in the first place.
But yep, Netflix should know parents have a a bit of knee-jerk drama queen in them - so should think of that before they promote things this way (although, frankly, the people they employ to do this sort of stuff shouldn't really have to).
I don't actually hate kids. Not at all. But I do hate the moral panic and all the other shit that seems entrenched around them. It's not just "parents"...but then you do have a hatred of kids and that so...
