Why is a 1TB microSD card three times the price of a 500GB one? But then why are there cheap 982GB microSDs as well, which obviously have some non-obvious drawback I'm not seeing.

In other news, GLS parcel delivery's tracking site is dogshit; ordered a Steam Deck for the boy's Christmas present and watched it go in and out of (apparently) the same Dutch logistics centre four times now.

I'm trying to find a high volume HDD which isn't £500 and it's insanity. Why is storage so expensive over the last 2-3 years.

Both passed burn in without issue and seem solid so far, realistic usable is 18TB iirc.

I get that quite a bit down here in Devon, although being on a motorcycle I tend to be able to overtake a bit sooner providing they've not formed a queue. I also find these types of slower drivers then seem to speed in village areas where the limit is 40/30 mph.

Fucking weak bolts and a leaky fucking garage roof. Have replaced the bolts and rubber washers and caps. Leaked overnight. Bought some steel and 4 miles of the heaviest plastic, gonna cover the garage roof in plastic, bolt the steel to the sides/fronts so doesn't fly off when a bird flies by.

It does the snippy English oxbridge female voice just fine, just refuses to greet you as one would expect a phone/car stereo to respond to it's master.
