Pretty sure they covered that in the article - Cam only had Hunter wellies and didn't want to look posh, so got some cheap ones whilst he was there.

Much more of a sad indictment of the media today when even the bloody Torygraph are running "LOOK WHAT SHE'S WEARING" stories.

It's traditional media trying to stay relevant to people who more often than not find their news from other sources. It's why they all report on "ZOMG TWITTER OUTRAGE" with stories that are little more than a wordy version of a Twitter thread.

The problem with 24/7 news is that there is not news worthy stuff happening 24/7 and with twitter and websites they have to put new content up so often it means the majority off it is bullshit. Back when it was just papers and 4 hours of news on TV there was normally something news worthy to talk about.

Amazon Prime.

I accidentally clicked the sign up for prime thing just now and bang, I was in. It took about 5 minutes to figure out how to get rid of the stupid fucking thing.

Honestly, there should be a button on all websites that says "no thanks, I don't want your stupid shit, just keep it simple and fuck off".

There is a pretty simple method to not sign up to the Amazon Prime by mistake, it involves not clicking the link that says "sign up for the free trial"

Again, user error

I'm not Amazon bashing, I use Prime and I can order stuff on a Saturday afternoon and they deliver it on a Sunday, which works perfectly for me as I'm not here in the week to receive stuff

Magically they don't have it on the uk site. Which strikes me as slightly odd, but hey ho. A cancellation / reorder kinda was the first thing I considered :)

@Ed: does amazon prime have their own delivery service? I mean, that I know the NL has something like 8 couriers operating and I don't think operating on a Sunday is a thing here.

What annoys me about amazon mos tis their kindle book store

I can only buy books from european amazon even though there are more in the US one

Surely they have enough clout with publishers to sort that shit out by now

In the UK they have their own delivery network, mostly man and van or man and beat up Renault but they are all foreign so they dont mind putting in a shift and getting stuff delivered. Even had one phone me because I had forgotten to change my delivery address from work to home. He asked for my home address and 15 minutes later he delivered to my house.

Outlook spell checking someone else's email when I am replying.

Yes I know the person I am responding to is a spacker, no I don't want to spellcheck their email.

Especially when its a thread of 6-7 mails, it goes through the lot. i'm sure there must be a setting to sort it out, although i've not bothered looking

As @Raven said, its usually a man in a van, but it still does the job for me

When I lived there the shops would only be open one Sunday per month.... It sucked... I very much doubt you will get deliveries ;(

It is the publishers that set the price and I think Amazon even took them to court before. I book I nearly bought at Christmas was £9.99 for the Hardback and £17.99 for the Kindle book. It does state that the publishers set the price.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Knight-Seve...=1452613562&sr=8-1&keywords=george+r+r+martin

This book I can have delivered tomorrow, it has had to be printed shipped to Amazon stored and then shipped onto me. All for 99p less that I can buy the PDF that has none of the production and delivery (ignoring whispernet email!) costs.

Starbucks "flavoured" lattes. In this case the "gingerbread" one. What is it even meant to taste of?

Waiting to see whether the staff at this nhs drop in centre are going to be competent enough to let me get x-rayed to rule out a possible fracture of the medial sesamoid of my right foot.

Figured out exactly what the problem was last night so went to the doc's this morning hoping for a referral to the hospital. He took one look, said 'yup - definitely that, but don't go to the hospital - it'll be faster at this drop in place'.

They've thrown their toys out the pram because apparently it's not proper procedure and said I may not get x-rayed (I better had - it's standard diagnositc technique in this sort of case).

Been here 2 hours now. Should have gone straight to A&E and lied my way into an x-ray like I usually do. :(

Drop in centre near me will do everything but what your Dr suggested if you tell them that is why you are there. They really seem to hate the Dr telling people to go there rather than A&E 20 miles away. You go there and say you could not get an appointment with your normal Dr so you have gone there and they are great.

The drop in centre is just an extension of the GP service. If you have a suspected fracture then its A&E to be assessed and then transferred to wherever.

Also, remember junior docs are striking today so expect a wait.

A&E will only see you if the fracture happened in the last 48hrs. Mine (if I have one) is ten days old. I've been icing and resting already so if that's what I end up getting told to do I'll throw my toys
