You talk so much bollocksIsn't this relatively hypocritical? I mean, if anything, smoking is worse than being obese in the respect of blaming the 'individual' or the 'individuals parent'
If you're smoking, you know it's killing you, sure it's very fucking hard to quit, but you still are fully aware.
Food - It's cheaper and easier to take your kids to McDonalds than it is to cook a meal at home (Or atleast that's what people have stuck in their heads.) So there's the financial aspect, and the aspect that we're a great deal lazier, so it's literally -easier- to do that, so why not eh?
People get into a vicious cycle of this, they literally -need- to have McDonalds - I have so many friends now who will go on a 'diet' - and in all fairness, they'll lose weight, but they literally can not cut McDonalds out of their lives.
You may be thinking 'Wtf' at my use of McDonalds as an example, but frankly, this is the issue, it's not the fact that people will go to the shop and buy a huge bag of chocolate and eat it in one night, it's the fact that people will eat colossal amounts of unhealthy food as a part of their 'main meals'
Again, it comes down to economics, and also comes down to education.
Exercise - People don't do it anymore, unhealthy eating is exactly new - I mean, my Grandad ate a fucking -load- all through his life, he LOVED his man butter, he'd literally slap on a mountain onto a doorstop wedge of bread, this was OK when he was working and was active, retired - boom, he got fat, very fast.
