Being away for a weekend with the chaps, only to find the person you are sharing a room with snores like a fucking foghorn. You know that ridiculous overblown snoring people do to take the piss whilst awake? He's doing that.

Bad times.

You're sober enough to notice things when going to bed while out "on a weekend with the chaps"? What is this, the choir boys anonymous?

It's a marathon, not a sprint. Plus this dude's snoring would wake the dead, never mind the drunk. Ever heard a ferry pulling into port? Sounded like that.

I've spent today calling him the Pride of Dover.

Being signed off work for another week. I am so bored after a week and a bit, I have no idea what I will do next week. Can't even game as I still can't sit down.

I did consider the PS3 but the TV is on the other side of the room, about 12 feet away. I can't stand playing that far away from the game.

this morning I left the house for about 6 minutes to pop down the baker and get my brekky. in that time a postie ninja'd up to my door and left a "you weren't home" notice for a package I was expecting. the earliest they will deliver is Tuesday, which means Wednesday, because they will not leave it at the postoffice as it was a first time failure and they only drop it off after the second one

Hah. I ordered that monitor on Tuesday and paid extra to have it delivered by the weekend. They dispatched it on Friday morning. So I managed to get it rerouted to the one post office within easy distance (and open on a Saturday ) and I collected it this morning. They were talking about delivering it on Tuesday at the earliest.

Oh, no, no pain. It's here and it's glorious.

I was actually quite impressed. Chronopost sent me an email saying when they expected to be able to deliver it (Tuesday morning ) but there was a link in the email to arrange collection so I clicked it out of desparation (I wanted my new toy ) at about 8pm on Friday and it gave me a list of about 6 post offices that they could deliver to on Saturday morning. Now, 4 of those post office weren't open on Saturday morning so I wasn't overly confident that their systems were dealing with weekends properly but I clicked on the nearest one that was open and said here please. The package left gay Paris at about 7pm and was waiting at the post office right down near Carcassonne (very very south France) at about 10am Saturday morning. Well played, Chronopost. Well played.

@sayward Banged head can be an issue for weeks and then become a serious issue. If you bang your head and it keeps hurting, get it checked out.
Been reading various articles because of sports protocols and think I definitely had concussion. I had all the symptoms. Hope I haven't said that already. Short term memory loss too!

I'm at home re-writing my plan of approach to fit the project method I've *finally* gotten around to choosing. It was the first sunny and warm day of the year. All my mates are out mountainbiking and or sending me pictures of the heroic amounts of beer they're consuming. I'm dressed in the tracksuit bottoms I picked up off the floor when I got out of bed. I have a laptop on my lap. I have drunk 4 espressos and three pints of water. All the curtains are closed.

I fixed it, pff, handy things, backups. Note to self: when an MS Office product suddenly makes your laptop fan blow while you're doing nothing special, then it's very likely destroying your document. A fan I am not.

it would seem that word change-tracking breaks word documents. such happiness, much joy, not suicidal.
