For those of you that don't know Front Line Force is a modification for halflife which has just seen a new release in the form of version 1.7 which you can get here: http://www.flfmod.com/downloads.php
If you want an unbiased opinion go check out PHL where FLF is currently Mod of the week..er...again

I'll explain briefly what FLF is about. Firstly it is has realistic models and realistic maps which all look very good, but it does not have realistic damage, which means that you do not die almost instantly as in most other mods these days, also after a set period of time (usually around 10 secs) you respawn. This means that the gameplay is much more involving and much more about firing your gun rather than running round for ages trying to find someone to fire it at and then dieing before you get the chance. FLF gameplay is fast-paced which makes the game much tense, where your actions can shape the entire round for your team. The aim of the game is either to capture all the "cap" points on the map or to defend them, depending on your team. After the alotted time has run out the sides swap over and the defenders become the attackers. When it gets down to the last cap the battles can really get very fast and furious, but avoid being spammy. One of the key aims of the FLF mod developers was to create a teamplay orientated mod, they have achieved this by giving certain bonuses when you stay close to your team: Better accuracy, health regenerates slightly faster, and also by adding bouses: extra points for capping points, defending when a cap is in progress, killing the capper, saving your teammates by diving on a grenade etc.
Read the manual for a more detailed (and better) description of FLF: http://www.flfmod.com/manual/
The second season of the BW FLF league just finished which you can read about here: http://leagues.barrysworld.net/bwflfl/
I must stress though, FLF has realistic settings, guns and models but it is NOT a realism mod like CS and DoD, the damage system is set differently so you can take more hits than in realistic mods, and the gameplay is much faster than in most other mods. This makes firefights much more interesting and works against camping as a strategy. Teamwork is esential and gives you lots of benefits, which you'll find out about if you look at the manual.
I'm not suggesting that you give up other mods to play FLF, but give it a go, you might like it, I did
If you need any more info feel free to drop into #frontline on quakenet or gamesnet and #bwflf or #byflf on quakenet, or email me mrflibble-bw@barrysworld.com
Anyways here's a few servers you might like to look at if you need ip's ( I recomend using the All Seeing Eye as a server broser for all games anyway)
