Everything has a reason.

That's a very narrow minded and selfish view.

You know - he may be right!*

The reason he posted that post was because I posted mine deliberately to tease out some christian bullshit :D

*actually, there's no fucking way he's right. I can't even say that for comic effect without qualifying it. :)

Ja, sarcasm..

@ Chet, People beleive that but I can't see why it's selfish + narrow minded.. surely it means that humans live to take care of each other, bees make honey for humans to survive on, Humans have a responsibilty for the enviroment etc?

LOL! Incredibly selfish.

Bee's make honey for humans to survive on?

"yo buzz, what you up to today?

"Well queenie, I thought I'd pollinate some flowers and make some honies so the humans can have flowers and sweet honey"

Why do the new tube trains have about 20% of the carriage sacrificed to hold wheelchairs when you can only access the tube via wheelchair at about 6 stations?

How are fridge magnets stronger than the earths gravitational field...think about it, you can hold something up with a puny magnet shaped like a tortoise/set of dentures/dalek whatever but surely the pull of gravity should be stronger so the picture your plastic tortoise/set of dentures/dalek is holding to your fridge should be plunged to the floor!

If you thickened the silk to steel size, it'd take more to break.

If you thin the steel to silk size it can't hold anything and break constantly.

Baseball . another opportunity given to a batter to bat because of a misplay by a fielder.
25.

Unless of course you were deliberately using the vagueness of language to create a question which is itself ambiguous. Define your question exactly so that there can be no doubt as to what you are asking or you will simply be uttering gibberish that sounds profound to the makers of greetings cards and 'little books' and the amoebas who read them.

It is in weight ratio. Like ants are super strong, compared to their size and weight

Conceivably, they could build bridges infinitely stronger than that big red one in Yankland.

I refuse to use its stupid name.

why aren't we making super sized ants and spiders to do all the "grunt" work and provide us with amazingly superstrong web spaceships?

Because creatures don't scale.

Small creatures can benefit from standing on water surface tension or gliding on currents of air without any obvious aerodynamic. Elephants gain very little from either phenomenon because things do not scale.

As things get bigger their mass increases by the cube of any one dimensional increase. This means big things have to devote a lot more of their bodily resources to not collapsing under their own weight.

Actually i got a real question:

"if i buy green sundried coffeebean in Laos packed airtight to transfer home, but on the way broke holes for moist to seek in, will fungae grow and if so, will it be unhealthy to roast, grind and brew coffee from?"

body heat generation also factors. Giant ants would die of cold because their metabolism is not aimed at creating heat. Thats why Mammals can grow large and do the "gruntwork"... I wonder..?

I somehow read the topic as "Questions you would never want answered" - don't ask why, but my brain would see that fitting OT better than this.
