Hey guys.

So the website of the news place I work at has this thing they do every week called "Just Ask".

It was inspired by Ken Wilburs "A brief history of everything".

Every week we answer (mostly science) related questions by interviewing experts. Examples of past questions include "Artifact restoration: how does it work?", "How does salt battle road Ice". "how close can you get to the sun" and "How does sunscreen work".

So this week we haven't got a single damn question from anyone and I am drawing a blank.

So FHOT what are some interesting questions (science related best) you don't know the answer to but wish you did. EG but not including "why is the sky blue? How do rainbows happen? etc etc."

Thanks and rep for all your help!

How is oil turned into medicines.
I can answer that one.
Buy oil.
Sell oil at a higher price.
Buy meds with the profits.

Or do you mean how is crude oil used as a base for the variety of organic compounds used in pharmaceutical manufacturing?

I hope you're being sarcastic.

Reason does not exist.

Ja, sarcasm..

@ Chet, People beleive that but I can't see why it's selfish + narrow minded.. surely it means that humans live to take care of each other, bees make honey for humans to survive on, Humans have a responsibilty for the enviroment etc?
