If Any GOA GM's or such is reading this; Is there going to be "Server Clustering" on the european servers?
Or are the european server architecture(sp?) too different from the Mythic ones?

I imagine Mythic will have guidelines as to what to cluster - however the two english servers probably are high enough population not to need it - some of the Mythic ones are running with 400 people online at a time as opposed to 1500+.

The US clusters haven't been announced yet so I'd go with the "too early to say"

Yes it's to early to know this. I'm not the one to make those decisions but looking ahead I don't think we'll see a lot of it here.

The situation with the european servers really isn't comparable to the situation in the States.

First of all there is the different languages. And some of the 'low' servers in the us have a population of under 400 primetime. With those numbers it's not just hard to run raids. It gets impossible to do raids.

All/most that will go to wow have gone now. Even if they didn't pre order for fb most(atleast that I know) have still quit daoc. So I don't think we will see a huge change when wow comes, and it's a very hyped game so many will come back.

Aaaaand another one who has heard about it but hasn't spend a single bloody minute looking into it ...

All the people that actually plan on leaving when WoW goes life have ALREADY LEFT because if you preorder the game you get to play in the OPEN BETA .. for FREE. So when the game hits stores we might see another couple of people leave but the GREAT ZERG that claims they'll leave when WoW comes is FULL OF SHIT they won't.

Hope there is some way they can use clustering to balance realm pops - for example clustering Excalibur with a server with lower alb pop but higher hib pop for rvr zones. Then it would really be the dogs nads. Ofc there may be language issues, although if it was based around rvr zones that may be less of an issue.

in which case they're again not very serious about playing this game are they? It was well known on the WoW boards that if you preorderd you got a beta key ... for days and days and days ...

I'm sorry if I'm putting it a bit strong but I'm so tired of people saying things just because they see everyone else say them ... I've had discussions with people that were talking about WoW like they were salesmen that would not get paid if they didn't talk at least 5 people in the bar they were in into dropping whatever they were doing atm to play WoW ... Then when I asked them about the game they have never seen anything of it other then a couple of 3 inch screenshots in a magazine...

My point is if you are serious about playing WoW stop saying so and do it for gods sake but don't make me feel like I'm a sub-person because I chose not to go along with the hype...
