Question about the free levels you get

Whats the last level that you can get your free level for playing ?

Somone said to me 45 - somone else said 48 ?

is there even a limit? (other than 50 obviously)

its level 47, so exp to 47.9 use your free level which will get you to 48.9, do a quick quest, ding 49

You need to ding 47 'normally' (i.e. not with a freelevel) to go to 48 and it doesn't actualy matter at what point into 47 you get the free level either - you get the same amount of free XP whether you get your free level at 47.01 or 47.99.
In fact you're possibly better off getting it early in the level rather than later so that you can take advantage of the higher XP cap at 48. Not to mention that getting a free level at 47.9 won't take you to 48.9, it'll be more like 48.6 or so.

yeah, when dinging 47 take free level to 48 imo, well thats how I do atleast, and after that I usually do paidrean for some extra bubs, and well not like it's hard getting the rest considering all the stuff the char needs ;D

-Do all the catacombs quests <L48 but DO NOT hand them in
-Carry on leveling to 47.95
-Free to 48.8
-Hand in quests ding 49.x

I did the same as Tears, but there's no point in waiting for 47.9, like Chretien said.

If you for example get 150 mil xp for going from 47 to 48, it doesn't matter when you hand it in as you'll always get the 150 mil xp, 47.01 or 47.99. In fact, if you hand it in right away, you'll get the lvl 48 amount of xp for killing mobs/doing quests, so it'll be faster.

so exp to 47.99999999 and take it. you get about 48.7499999 or close to it

some ppl dont know, each lvl is 125% of the last one. 46+125% exp you get 47 and so on.

correct you get the same ammount allways...

if you think what you wrote.. you wrote it your self acctually in ther first sentence

do it to lvl 47.9999999999
then take free lvl and you get 112315975568 exp... that makes about 48,75 ish

Player a) free levels at 47. Dings 48 exactly and has all of lvl 48 todo.

Player b) has to do all of lvl 47 first, then has 2 bubs todo to ding 49.

So.. wanna exp from 47->48+2 bubs of 48 or just do all of 48.. They workout the same exp.

Theres some argument for just taking the free at 47, as then you can get straight on with lvl 48 quests, benfit from their item rewards and depending on class you might find exp at 48 easier (certainly a lot of classes get top spells/styles etc). Youll gain a handfull more stats and fight those mobs that you would have exped on 47->47.9 a bit faster.

at level 1 you get 2 bubs for a yellow with camp bonus, at level 2 you get 1,5 bub for a yellow and that yellow take another swing to kill, that is the same betwen level 47 and 48, maybe you cap xp is higher, but the xp needed to level is alot more.

Yeah but that makes no difference here, we're not talking about the number of bubbles you'll get per kill but the amount of actual XP which is different. You get more XP per kil vs the same mobs at 48 than you do at 47, in addition you may be able to do extra quests at 48 that weren't available at 47 and get a higher reward for them as well. Plus you'll have another set and half of spec points to help out on top of all that.

Yes I guess for strong soloers or people grouping and taking down oj+ thats perfectly true! I was thinking of the average soloer just ploughing through blue/yellows who doesnt really reach the exp cap per mob.

I dont see any convincing arguments for not getting that free level straight away.

Get that free ding at 6pm tommorow and dont worry too much about how far you are to 47.99

that is not true, the amount you get less into 48, lets say your 47,9 and you get 48,(6-7) you still have to invest the same time into expeing, because you get less into 48, you dont save any time, get more exp etc
