seriously, is that all you're eating in the entire day? or is it just what you bought?

usually i will shop just once a week and for evening meals i use a slow cooker. have you considered buying one of these? you can make all kinds of shit in big batches and probably works out cheaper, as youre not buying a single ready meal or bits and bobs to make one thing.

I have a slow cooker.

One batch of chicken drumsticks or 2 packs of 6-8 sasuages and ofcourse a big pack of stew veg/casseroel veg provides me and the missus two solid meals. For a single person, you could prob get 4, maybe 5 meals out of it if you supplemented it with rice.

As for purchases:

reduced cheese: 50p
reduced 1.15kg healthy brand chicken breasts: 2.50
reduced turkey steaks healthy brand version: 1.00
reduced Cumberland sausages (8) healthy brand : 80p
reduced wraps: 40p
reduced pack of bakewell slices: 30p

... the list goes on! ;)

P.S - all the meat is frozen ofc and the wraps and cheese will be used tomorrow for some awesome meatball mariana wraps with homemade potato wedges!

today I didn't buy any food, so no money spend on that stuff. I did buy something for my bike, but with any luck I'll never have to eat it :)

The only thing I bought today was fresh made waffles and two fried eggs for breakfast as I had to leave the house in a rush. £3.50. All my other meals were made at home so I could not begin to break down the cost.

As I've moved back in with the folks temporarily, my food bill is pretty small. However yesterday I was out and about so bought

1 Large Quarter Pounder with Cheese Meal with a Coke
3 Cans of Pepsi
1 10oz rump steak with chips
1 Cheese board (eaten entirely by myself :D)
6 Cans of Heineken
4 Pints Carling
1 Pint Deuchars IPA
1 Shot Macallan

Came to about 60 quid.

ok spent about 55e yesterday going halfzies on a meal out so counting back I can say that I spent 17.81e per day on average. This amount somewhat surprises me, because it's on the high side (imo), at least it's around 4~6e more per day than I imagined it to be.

I'm going to be keeping this up for the rest of the month, so the average becomes more precise over time. Blahs...money eh :/
