Actually really really well, and yes, that's my cat (puppy is called Lily, cat is called Dax).

She chews him, he looks at her with this "I am the King and you are scum" and if she chews too hard or annoys him, he bashes her with claws and she yelps and runs to mummy :)

Most of the time he ignores her, even if she's chewing his tail which I find highly amusing.

Has anyone ever wondered what would happen if you put a Yorkshire terrier and a cat in the same room? I can't decide whether the cat would eat the dog or be afraid of it. Something that has puzzled me for many years now. :)

LOL funny you should say that... My mother has a small dog - it's a Norfolk terrier but only a bit bigger than a Yorkie.

She came to stay. Now her dog hates cats. Our cat is fine with Lily, they get on great. Mum's dog (Toby) comes to stay... and within seconds, the cat is freaking out, clawing it's way out of reach, and the dog is salivating trying to get to the cat to eat it.

Poor lickle Lily tried sooooo hard all weekend to get Toby to play with her, but he just ignored her in favour of the cat. It was almost heartbreaking.

They have been known to walk along together, Dax first, then Lily, holding his tail in her mouth, walking almost sideways.. it's funny to watch :)

little dogs can be cute, but in my view they tend to be rather aggressive towards people they dont know :(.
You come close to little dog with boss, little dog barks aggressive. You come close to big dog with boss, big dog greets you :).

And boy would Lily greet you.

She has a tongue twice as long as her nose and she isn't afraid to use it!

She'd jump at you, tear you to ribbons because her claws are too long, then lick you to death.

She's had her claws clipped once at the vets...

And eagerness is overrated, I've had many a long scratch down the side of my face that I've had to explain away :)

(and they were from the dog!)

Oh yes, I understand that completely.

My mother-in-law had a golden retriever like that, she was very lovely, but although she'd wag you to death she didn't jump up.
