You owe Designers Republic soooo much money, inspiration is one thing, but going so far as to actually rip off their arrow stylings is just plain bad

Yes, and amazingly enough they were pretty much the first to introduce that bold very Japanese influenced design style in the early 90s, the fact that lots of people now rip them off doesn't change the fact that CA's posted is image is a very obvious rip off. In fact, I'd go as far as to say if I looked through the DR books I have at home I could found a very similar image.

Having thought about it, it's VERY similar to a series they did for Distinctive promoting a club night called 'Eastern Nights'

Great design isn't just taking the stylings of others and using them yourself, sure, it might be impressive to people who have not been exposed to a lot of 'cutting edge' (used simply because I have no idea what else to call it), but to anyone with experience it's just a poor copy.

arrows etc. are trendy sweetie and have been for a couple of years now...

Yes, sure, trendy sells, but you should at least have the creativity to take what's trendy and put your own spin on it. Designers Republic are the probably the most famous of all UK graphic design houses simply because they've managed to forge a unique and instantly identifiable flavour.

The same as in any field, if your work is simply a clone of what's already succesful, you have no right to call yourself an artist, you're simply a leech.

I haven't upgraded, no. Still got a leet bong, although I don't use that very much: particularly recently as I developed an annoying, painful tickly cough, and bong hits would have killed me. Gone now though! Mate brought us back a keyring mini pipe from holiday, which was a tad pleasing. :D

Oh! Oh! Was that called a Silver Leaf or something? I had one of those, where the side was attached by magnet and you pulled it off and there was a really intricate set of pipes inside...? :)
