Had the same with the last dog we had, the worst was the day before he died he looked to have perked right up, running around happy as can be. Got home from school to hear his legs had given way and he had to put down.
Your cat has similar markings as one of mine. Mo(the one on the left)
Sorry to hear about your cat Sparx! These things happen in life, I've been through a hell of a lot of pets to know full well. Try to make him comfortable and happy as much as you can in his final moments, if it's going to cause him pain I'd suggest having him put to sleep as it's not fair on the chap.
he was more relaxed when he could see me, we just sat eye to eye the whole time and i watched him fall asleep. Im glad i was there for him instead of letting him run off to starve to death
Sorry to hear of your loss Sparx. Pets are those little things that turn into massive parts of our lives.
I lost a cat many years ago, unfortunately he'd slept behind a car wheel and when it reversed it left him in pretty bad shape. It took him 3 days to get home (so the vet said, from the rotting flesh) and putting him to sleep was the only option.
RIP Benny.
You being with him as he was put to sleep must have been hard but I'm sure Benny is indeed happy his best friend was the last thing he saw.
