personally iv'e allways been against the rr2 thing in thid, because i think it gives some advantages that aint ment to be used in thid... But this have been discussed over and over many times, so, well f*ck that

Thid is still thid, and i love it Go out, pwn, die, rel, and ur ready again to fight :> porting and boating can be so, well, u know when u just wanna have some quick fun and action :>

i have played a lot of chars in thidranki....mostly just to test the classes, and have been royally whupped by a lot of the big names there.those big names might have been rr2 but i truly believe that what got me beaten was those players playing their classes very well.
i wont spill any tears over the rr cap in thid but i do feel for those long term thiddies that have put a lot of effort into their toons.
a little advance notice of these changes would have been a more considerate thing for GOA to do rather than just have people find themselves locked out of thid.
the alternate remedies suggested in earlier posts really would have been kinder and more fair to the rr2 players, such as stripping their RA`s or resetting their rp`s.
GOA really went in too heavy handed on this and should have discussed this with players and gotten some feedback first.

Hmm, not too thrilled about having to reroll my chars. But tbh, i haven't had any chars over RR1.5 in thid so it wont really effect my play style. They could have just stripped me of my RP's imo. A lazy bastard at heart i'm not looking forward to spending minutes and minutes getting them back to 24
But what the hell. Their gear is all but used up anyway. Might aswell throw a completely new char on top of the new set.

Its a shame that people have put so much time into their RR2 chars but in the end, I think it was deserved. Brokeninfil/Elkei may be good guys, but I wouldn't say they have 'loads of skill'. Its mostly down to healpots, buffs and ofcourse RRs when you face these players.

Lets see what these people can really do when they are 1L4.

For Kalidur, I'm 1L7 and I only have long wind 1 aug dex 1 and charge 1, and I was only using charge to do a 1 vs 5 alb/mid, and it's a 15 min timer so ... So if everyone could stop zerging at 4.00pm with 4 ice theugirsts 4 sorcerers ...

But everyone has his own opinion so ...
The unique thing I want to know is :
Can we get 1L5 in Thidranki and be kicked from it ?!

And those that do think Broken wins cos of RR2 im afraid your wrong, i knew Ash way b4 NF and its crappy RR2 rule for thid came out and hes allways been that good. I play thid a lot and have never had the real urge to get past the rp cap, this is because it gives a massive advantage an example of this is:

My group of bard/bm/vw goes up against the attackbot guys, they have sos on their skald and charge on their zerker therefore we are guaranteed to lose our bard. I personally thought it was lame to get enough rps to get active RAs that can sway battles. Surely people can live without the advantage of having these RAs as it is a completely level playing field, maybe next time I would beat Chantalas without IP.

<3 this change, as for the original poster on about QQ and doomsday to thid due to not being able to charge in with possibly the most overpowered class in thidranki haha . I also believe this could increase the people going to thidranki now as they won't have to worry about minstrels and other speed classes that they can only kill when sos is down, or completely CC imune light tanks tearing a new one for any casters they happen upon.

Yes we share different opinion, my post was out to all the RR2 toons in thid not just you, u seem to be the most infamous and the first rr2 toon in thid i came accross and its your opinion that theres nothing wrong with having +1 to DW, +1 to CS + 1 envemon +1 to WS above the vast majoriy of stealthers u face, not to mention the 6 RA's aswell, u seem to think its a fair having that advantage over the vast majority.

Yes in your opinion there was nothing wrong with it, but guess what now your opinion is wrong, it is no longer valid and if it did happen now it would be deemed cheating which is what i thought it should have been from the start. You personaly might not have thought that being RR2 was OP, but read some of the posts in this thread, a toon in thid having access to IP, Charge, SoS, vanish is OP in thid. My post was aimed at everyone who went above rr 1.5 and for me that gave them tools that would make them OP in thid.

i'll close off with saying good riddens to a buch of game mechanic abusers, come and play fair like the rest of us. You may or may not be a bad person, u may or may not be a bad player, I dont know you well enough to judge that, but you needing rr2 in thid is what i am judging you on in this perticular instance.... it is what the thread is about.

as to the matter of being RR2 in Thidranki, I think anyone who are devoted enough to thidranki playing and wants to optimize his character by getting rr2 on a lvl 24 toon ( It is infact alot of work) should be able to enjoy some of the advantages this gives

Like getting on oil at a tower is so hard. Seen a lot of grey cons in FH recently either on cata's or on oil. PL'in RPs so people can pawn in thid was allowed and people did it, does not make it honourable/the right thing to do.

They couldnt get the rp's in thid because it has a hard cap of 1lvl4 (because thats what was meant to be the limit for thid lol) - everyone who got the extra rp's got em in the frontiers using siege equipment - l33t skills indeed

I'm looking forward to facing these people without extra advantages - will be interesting to see those of the RR2 squad who suddenly disappear from Thid for some extremely plausible reasons

Some of them are skilled players - some arent - the ones who were skilled no doubt decided they needed to get to RR2 in order to be competitive against the others but it still made em overpowered v normal people...

The skilled ones should be happy because they'll no longer have to get RR2 to not feel gimped.

Broken nice see you back .. to all who think rr2 was big diffrence its not cos we all waist 5 points on vanish not a big advantage tbh... I can handle my char easy even at 1 lvl 4.. Its a good change imo now its less QQ about rr2 and all that... HAd my char for 2 and half years needed to reroll anyway so all good for me

I guess you're talking about me so ...
1. I've never qq'ed about losing my charge, and i've got it 3 days before the news so ...
2. I don't need 3-8 people to kill someone in Thidranki, and I don't talk as If I'd be the best and the most honerous guy.
3. If you get a classic char, with a good toa template, and if you know how to play it you'll beat me easyly, atleast in a 1vs3

They should delete crafted armor ( not fair against poor guys )
They should not give a choice in spec ( not fair agaisnt newbies )
They should not let me enter in Thidranki ( not fair against ennemis ) of course , just kidding ...

Crap really, they stop people being rr2, which anyone can do if they just leech along at keep defence or similar, yet buffbots are accepted, which not everyone can have (Due to money restrictions/computer capabilities) ....

But anyway the reson i went over the rpcapp is becuse i want to have a 50/50 chanse of winning(or more ) against other thid assasins. And to have that I kinda need to be the same RR, if ppl understand what i mean And whining about rr2 ppl isnt gonna change anything..

Oh and btw sry to all the albs that i have killed when i have camped ATK..i was waiting for a guildy that think he can kill me

Lol if you were RR2 then I wouldnt come back to thid - I got you to 15% life with a level 20 Infi in random gear and half his slots empty and unbuffed - other stealthers will eat you now.

Never mind that. Playing music while running DAoC just didn't work too well. It isn't top-notch quality, but I kind of like this unpolished sound.
