I can't go to Thidranki with my vampiir anymore, i'm lvl 24 and 1L7, and before today i could do it... So i'm wondering if it's a bug or ...
friday news said:Change in the access conditions to Thidranki
As you might already know, Thidranki is one of the most busy battlegrounds in the game since it is accessible to characters from level 20 to 24. So it allows players using the /level command to begin with their new level 20 characters. The battlegrounds table in the RvR Manual specifies the elements present in each battleground as well as the access conditions and the realmranks limits in order to obtain realm points in these battlegrounds.
But we recently noted that players with characters fulfilling the level conditions for Thidranki are artificially increasing their realmrank in the Frontier Zone (with the help of higher level characters) to gain a disproportionate advantage over those who play normally in the battleground. It is not normal to have to confront characters with one or several realm skills activated in Thidranki.
Therefore, we decided to restore the access conditions to this battleground according to the realmranks. It will be the same system as with the levels, it will not be possible to access the Thidranki with a character with a realmrank higher than Rank 1 Level 4. And if the character has just been killed or is returning to his fortress after he passed Rank 1 Level 5 (just the same if he passed from level 24 to level 25), he will have to leave the battleground.
For information, it is only from Braemar (level 25-29) that you can meet characters with their realm skills activated ; from Wilton (levels 30-34) that characters with artifacts will be allowed to enter ; and from Leirvik (levels 40-44) that characters with Master Level abilities will have access to the battlegrounds.

so if you're on 349rps and get 2rps next kill, you're kicked from thid...Friday News said:And if the character has just been killed or is returning to his fortress after he passed Rank 1 Level 5 (just the same if he passed from level 24 to level 25), he will have to leave the battleground.

no need to be so hostile towards those players u mention imo. if u actually took the time to speak to some of the ppl that i know of, who are RR2, u might find that they are not such a ''bad crowd'' (or any of the other little insults u throw around)Kalidur said:If thats tru...![]()

/edit i see u toned down what u originally posted somewhat (adjusted mine accordingly)

theres no need to insult me or any of the other ppl u mention for meerly taking advantage of what the game allowed. u make some valid points(unfortunately accompanied by some kinda cheap shot), and then go on to ruin them in the next breath by calling ppl ''cheap cheaters'' when it clearly isnt the case.
As a paladin you shouldn't go down (often) against a caster, use your instant taunt (and charges if you have acces to them). However, from my experience a well played assassin has a 50% chance of winning against a tank. Brokeninfiltrator once duelled me (unbuffed) and was left with 60% hp. I have also duelled a friend of mine's shadowblade a few times: he used slash against my chain and the fights were always pretty close. These debuffs and PA hurt a lot.Kalidur said:Sorry for taking advantage of how the game was meant to be played, but i think i deserve it from getting killed by a duffed RR2 stealther whilst playing a palidin (plate armour + high defence u aint meant o be able to go down to stealthers, casters yes, stealthers no.

It was a bug that such folks could enter thid anyway and this is a good fix - I actually think thid could come more alive after it.![]()

This isn't why i objected to what u said/say, i would have said the same regardless, so its np.Kalidur said:I appologise for using your name
Yeah, whats your point? Thats because i dont believe its wrong to obtain RR2 in thid as im sure u are aware.Kalidur said:I have read your posts, u have never done anything to condone the fact that people are abusing the game mechanics
Maybe try reading your first posts again, especially the parts where u say:Kalidur said:I could have easily posted my post with nothing but insults of how crap people who play rr2 toons in thid are......but i tried to be civil
Still u seem not to be understanding me. I respect other peoples opinions, and i'm certainly not trying to get you to change yours. Yes i do disagree with what u are saying but thats your opinion and im fine with that. What i wasn't fine with was the way u said it (which is the only reason i replied to you in the first place)Kalidur said:I'm sorry but until you can clearly justify the need to be RR2 in thid apart from the ego boosting easy kills you get, its not a question of will I, its a question of can i change my stance.
Was gonna say somethin similar to what blokkie said also. Kalidur u seem to have alot of ideas about how the game is ''meant to be''. To say tanks are meant to beat assasins and casters are meant to beat tanks doesnt make for such a fun game does it? If that were the case with DAoC i'd save my £8 per month and have a few m8s round for a game of scissor, paper, stone. I'm sure the game was designed to give all classes a reasonable chance against each other, which Blokkie suggests is the case hereBlokkie said:...stuff about assasin vs tank...
Yea i think Blokkie's sorted that one m8. I guess i was a little hasty, it seems that even if u got 10rps for a kill at 349rps (most i ever heard about was 7rps from killing a lev 26) it would only take u to 359. As he said u'll still only be 1L4 at this point and thus still be allowed into Thid.Brend said:from what ive experienced, if your on 349 rps you only get enough rp to take u to the cap( for example you never get 4 rp for a kill if on 347 rp). Taken 5/6 chars to the cap and never managed to go over it even in OF.
ofcourse i may have just been lucky though
