noooooooooooooooooooo international break :p

well hopefully some exciting games, but less drama about Ledley King please!

Sucky timing for an international break imo :( Torres will most likely break again! :(

If we were playing anybody else other than Man United at Old Trafford next I'd agree with you. As it is I'm in no hurry for our next hiding.

I know I got a bad rep pt off someone for saying it last time, but at the risk of saying it again and getting another, international games = boring unless world cup. Even most of those are crap in the earlier stages of the tournament :(

So the england game against Greece, when we needed a draw to qualify was boring? ;)

On that note all I can say is glad to hear it, nothing to do with the fact that he was a Liverpool player in his career. I saw the replay, he made no attempt to foul him.

aye, i said at the time the referee made a poor decision.. i would have booked torres personally. Keeper went down.. tried to move out the way, instead of putting the ball in the net like easily could have he changed his movement to run into Friedel, was so easy to see even without a replay :(

you mean the "i played the ball but pretending i didnt" corner move?

Like the one that Man Utd (rooney and giggs) done against Chelsea this year, scored from but had it disallowed because the linesman cried he wasnt told it was being done.... i mean it not like he gets paid to watch what happening is it! Only let the linesman off because we scored from the retaken corner. heh :D

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | N | Newcastle | Shearer to become Newcastle boss

Shearer in as Geordie boss till end of season.

My thoughts are that Kinnear had experience and that was the only thing that could have saved them. All this appointment is about is appeasing fans from the disappointment of relegations and saving Ashley from backlash.

I am somewhat surprised given Shearer's position on the matter all season and in previous season's. They have both Chelsea and Liverpool to meet this season and as Sky sport's were saying regarding this, the Middlesborough could be the defining moment of their season. We'll see how it pans out first.

I think there is a good chance he could take them down, not exactly the homecoming he would want I suspect but it is very possible.

He's only taking the job because he can't lose. They stay up he is a massive hero, if they go down it's Kinnears fault and no-one could have stopped it.

Looks like my team, Southampton, will be in administration in the next 24 hours and i'm genuinely quite upset.

Latest reports are that you will avoid the 10 point penalty as it is only the parent company going into administration.

Doubt we'll get away with it tbh. Everyone knows what SLH do and are there for.

Haha, did anyone notice Crouch did "pull the rope" yesterday when he scored? :)
