Well, 2 - 0 up already, Alan Green from radio 5 live reckons this is gonna be a whitewash. Although I can't see Man U drawing at Sunderland. So top of the table plays ping pong weekend as usual :)

1427: GOAL Liverpool 3-0 Blackburn
Have Blackburn never seen Daniel Agger play? Rovers back off and back off as the defender trots forward with the ball at his feet. He then spanks a 35-yard piledriver past Paul Robinson. Lesson learned. Fabulous strike.

made me lol

Blackburn should have just forfeited that game, really wasnt worth them turning up they were so bad. lol.

69 yellow cards, worst in the league. (70 or so now), and they only conceeded something like 8 fouls. When you being outplayed you need to break up the play even if it by giving away freekicks on the halfway line. but there was nothing from them. It was a poor match to watch and should have been 6-0 in first half alone.

Well not the best team to have out against a sunderland team we struggled against earlier in the season (and leaving out my Fantasy football captain :( ).

Gary Neville must be expecting a struggle after such an appalling dive in the penalty box.

edit:
Scholesy! Makes a prat of himself against fulham but nice guided header from him there :D

Guess it about time ronaldo needs to come on and hope he decides he wants to play today. Cant say Sunderland dont deserve their goal, they were dangerous in the first half.

Bloody hell, Bolton put in an immense performance today, two goal line clearances in the last two attacks of the game saved Chelski some shame.

And, Macheda! Legend :)

I was really surprised that Chelsea let a lead like that slip to such a narrow margin, and surprised that Sunderland gave Man U a good game for their money.

Brum drew at Charlton.

We now need 8 points to be promoted and 9 to be crowned champions :D!

United are hanging onto that lead in the league for dear life, they seriously need to improve quickly or they will drop more points though. Today just wasn't good enough, so many wasted passes.

Every team goes through patches like that, I have faith in the players we have to regain their form, they are too good not to. The important thing is that we have played badly and got 6 points out of the last two games. It does not matter how well Liverpool play if we are still grinding out results.

Hola! from Mexico. It looks like it will be the 'normal' top four again this year. Of course I am biased but, seriously -- how fucking boring!!

I knew Arsenal were the favourites to finish 4th above the Villa but I hoped we might push them all the way. Unfortunately the top four just have a complete monopoly on the best players and the most experienced players. Success begets success.

Roll on next season -- although with the rumours of clear outs and reduced budgets at Villa Park because of the recession it might be down to teams like Man City to try and bridge the considerable gap to the top of the table.

If Tottenham fans are to be believed they'll be top 4 next season, although they'd also be top 4 this season, last season, and so on ;)

Read a few articles today about United's financial situation. Apparently are somewhere close to 1billion in debt and their revenue, despite being higher than ever before is less than the interest from their loans. oO Don't know if it will actually mean anything in real terms but must be very worrying.

Wonder if Arsenal will be the big boys again in a few years considering how they're playing for the long term.

I read that about united too posted record profit but went nearly another 100 mil into debt the yanks really fooked them over.

Aren't the Liverpool guys in lots of trouble as well have to pay a loan back this year unless they can re finance it?

The Glazers are into a hedge fund for a few hundred million at 17% interest, that is what is raping us at the moment because the Glazers have been unable to refinance that debt. Liverpool have similair issues as well it seems.

Not exactly a fan of wolves but itll be nice to see mick back in the prem , hes still thought well of up here even after our 15 point season.

Sunderland have me baffled , one week we play really well and then we play like like a sunday league team against teams we should be able to beat.

Most of the list is utter bullshit, even Utd fans must realise this.

Nominees for the PFA player of the year award:
Rio Ferdinand (Man Utd)
Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)
Ryan Giggs (Man Utd)
Cristiano Ronaldo (Man Utd
Edwin van der Sar (Man Utd)
Nemanja Vidic (Man Utd)

Nominees for the PFA young player of the year award:
Gabriel Agbonlahor (Aston Villa)
Rafael Da Silva (Man Utd)
Jonny Evans (Man Utd)
Stephen Ireland (Man City)
Aaron Lennon (Tottenham)
Ashley Young (Aston Villa)

Gerrard and Vidic are the only real contenders in reality, though Gerrard's start to the season was slow and Vidic, since Torres ripped him a new arsehole has been poor.

But then again the nominations and winners were decided weeks ago so the whole thing is a joke anyway.

Not to mention the fact Giggs has completed 8 games this season. Ferdinand has been a shadow of what he was last sseason and injuries have kept him out a fair bit. Ronaldo has just been a prick, most of his goals are set pieces or penalties, surely someone like Anelka or Davies is more deserving? Van Der Sar is there for nothing but his record cleansheets where he generally spent most of the time spectating.

As a Chelsea fan it's pretty mind boggling to see Frank Lampard not even being nominated. Been consistantly good all season, and been our saving grace under Scolari when he basically carried the whole team at times.

As for the young players, Stephen Ireland has to walk it or there's no point. Don't know why some players are in there and others aren't but i think i've moaned enough already ;)

One have to wonder how much money united spent on the nominee committee. Vidic will win since he has been the best Utd player I guess.

And then i guess some United youngster will win the other award :p

But don't you think Gabby could deserve it aswell?

this was all done before man utd collapse and near the end of the clean sheet run.. that is why there is so many united players in there.

Lampard deserves to be in the shortlist, beyond that no one really springs to mind as deserving

giggs has actually had a very good season, however unless you actually watch every match you wont see it. The work he does rarely makes it onto highlight shows however it was actually key to alot of our play.

I think he is in there mainly because of his age and it amazine the quality of his play given that he only got a season or two left in him. Maybe he dont deserve to be in there, but i think he as a kind of "honour"

Carton cole has had a decent season where he got a run of games where he was scoring, but his all round game im not sure on. Not sure of Van Der Sar nomination, the clean sheet was more down to the defense (ie vidic)... Ronaldo hasnt had the best of seasons and not sure how he got in there, he scored many goals again sure, however the all round play of last year isnt there (this why i say lampard possibly deserves it more then Ronaldo to be in there)

meh, without watching every game it hard for me... i only watch 3-5 full live games week lol. (watch on sky, setanta and from the far east for my weekly visit at 3pm on saturdays *cough*)
