Anaemia is a secondary biproduct of Crohn's :s
Best of luck dude!
Overdriven don't let it hold you back from doing things in life. Some things you just wont be able to do (be a pilot or maybe travel the world) and when you're 40+ you may get complications/problems so make the most of your youth.
If you sit there and stay depressed about it you're just wasting time. It seems like you're getting on with it so that's the first step.
Thanks for those comforting words of wisdom, so basically ur saying i am fucked in two years ?![]()

There's no reason you can't be a pilot or travel with Crohns, i work with 3 people with the condition one of whom has a fixed wing and helicopter license another of which has gone off to work in Sweden on a whim. All of whom have full work and social lives. There are complications, quite nasty ones sometimes but almost all are treatable and controllable. The main thing is to find a good consultant and go for regular checkups.
Talking of which i have a gastroscopy on monday which is going to be fun.
Sorry, I was generalising there as I'm a diabetic and don't think we can be pilots. I was trying to make a point that there may be some things he just cant do, but try not to let it get you down.
Lol dont even think we can go skuba diving![]()
You'd be surprised at my age how long it does. It's almost like waiting for death if you are single like me![]()
Well, if its a diagnosis a long time coming I can almost see it as a relief to know what it is. My sister was diagnosed with M.E. a couple of years ago after years and years of feeling like crap and assuming that she was just being lazy. Its seriously affected all her time at school, college and now university. But at least now she has a diagnosis and gets lots of help from the university and ofc all our family.
Now, I am not belittling what sounds like a pretty painful condition but now he has a diagnosis it can be managed and he can still have what approaches a normal life. Sometimes a diagnosis is half the battle.
So good luck with reinventing yourself Overdriven, I am sure that you'll get this under control.
