Poll - Name one thing to improve RvR

in no particular order:


1)remove all instas

2)reduce sorc mezz to 1500, giv fast mezz for bards/healers like rolleh said.

3)remove speed or max at caster speed ( help range classes *alot* )

4)nerf end regen ( ie some consequence to /sprinting and styling etc)

5)take away active ra's

6)add collison detection

i like 2,3,4 . imo though buffbots is the main killer of RVR . kill buffbots n rvr wil again be a LOT of fun for many .

What I see here is a lot of people with a lot of extreme perspectives on the game.
Some good, some bad.. not for me to judge really :)

So it doesn't really matter what Mythic does, it will never be right :)

Anyway, my view:
The way to fix this game is to fix individual classes not based on their group performance but on their solo performance (make them fun solo to start with), and make ALL classes really offer something important to the group that would REALLY help a lot. That way every class has its boon and you won't see as many fotm groups around. This would mean some switching around though, put wanted RA's on classes that are lesser wanted (would people whine as much if mentalists had group purge?) but don't fix classes with RA's.
Give each class a unique function that only THEY are best at. For example my class and its counterparts:
warden : defensive fighter/healer: give some kind of parry guard and a small insta-hot for example, doesn't step on heroes/druids domain too much and makes it a lot better at defending their groupmates.
friar : offensive fighter/healer: Add an offensive healing aura spell, you smash something, it transfers a little of the damage you've done to the most needy groupmember.
shaman : similar spell, life transfer from an enemy to a groupmember who needs it most.
These are just small ideas, warden being most thought of of course :)

ill have to agree with the original post and the first reply...very good points imo...oh and give arenas to prevent zerging;)

this would still make buffbots viable for levelling a toon!!

Bards can already spec in melee right?

Problem with bard is you can spec in blades/blunt/regrowth/nurture/music so you have to give up something for melee.

Return blade is getting changed to parry in the next patch, or maybe the patch after that which is a small step in the right direction for wardens

Some good points in this post.

yeah true - and give hib and alb godmode classes so that 3 classes make up 70% of all RvR groups
hehe love that had to quote it.

As a new thing I would like to see changed is the way rps are rewarded. Basically add a huge rp penalty for when you kill someone who is outnumbered. For example a fg kills a soloer instead of getting 200 rp each they should get 1 rp each. If 2fg gank 1fg instead of getting ~100-200 rp each for each player they get 10-20 rp each. Hopefully this would help to stop zergs or solo ganks which are basically really annoying and spoil the game.

Looking at the thread a lot of people are commenting on four things:
1. Resists
2. Instant CC
3. Determination
4. Buffbots

I also would like to see interupts changed, Aussie's screenshot is an excellent example of how stupid interupts are. One person mentioned make it interupt the spell you are casting (or are just about to cast) only, then do the you must wait 1 seconds, then never interput the next spell.
Also someone that has hit you who then becomes mezzed/stunned should not interupt either.

nicolas's idea to stop cc interupting if you are immune to it sounds good, also make casting disease not interupt as well.

sweet, I look forward to being a full fledged taxi...

language free patch updates, so we can remain current with patches and GOA can fart arse around on the languages as much as they like and updates quests etc when they're ready.

1. Delete the savage class
2. Create a central rvr zone so people dont get hit by 6 fg DC take/retake grps
3. Give the Warrior class a unique ability
4. Fix broken or useless Warrior ra's
5. Fix warrior sword style lines so they have a point in rvr other than raknorork
6. Reduce damage the chanter class can cause
7. give warrior 6.0 spd weapons
8. give ingame window that tells you how many of each realm are in the same area as you

Connect the frontier zones, make the entire zone extremely big, and let us build our own keeps in a tactical position to defend / attack a relic, so waging war actually means more than making 1 fg and going to the frontier to score some rps.

About the savage nerf.. I dunno.. even with savages in line with the rest of the game there are still SO many broken/stupid things.. just remake all classes :p
